Blaugrana And Gold. Fountain Pens In These Colours?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know which decent pens come in a dark blue & burgundy colour option, preferably also with a hint of gold.

The first reason is: my younger brother loves FC Barcelona and would love to have such a pen.

The second reason is: these colours happen to be my school's colours and we would love to have a semi-custom pen dedicated to our school community.

I can think of Visconti Speakeasy (sort of) and Delta Gallery Blue Moon. They are definitely too expensive, but well - let's concentrate on the colours, not on the budget.

Of course if anyone knows a pen which can be bought in Europe without much hassle, matches the color scheme and is affordable for a high school student, I would be extremely happy.

Thank you very much in advance!

How about Platinum 3776 Century? There is one in Chartres Blue and one in Bourgogne. Both have gold furniture (trim). Amazon has them for under $100 USD with 14k nib

They don't combine the two colours together, but it is definitely a good option to take into consideration.

Thank you very much for your input!

EDIT: There is one more pen that ticks some of the boxes: Esterbrook "J" Collection Red/Navy

The game is all about botched catching, isn't it? ;) Nooo white is a symbol of surrender, our gallant souls of victors won't allow us to use this shameful colour*.

Don't worry, I don't get excited about any derby, even Kentucky.

*may an Andalusian horse be an exception.

katanankes, thank you for your suggestion :)

I just received a Chartres Blue Platinum Century 3776 through amazon for $72.99. I think the OP wants both blue and burgundy on the same pen, though.

It would be the best option. There is a relatively high number of dark blue pens, and a fair amount of burgundy coloured, but few match the two colours. And even fewer include also some gold elements. This picture shows my school colours. They are darker in fact, because this is a piece of translucent stained glass-work.

It wouldn't be bad, I would just have to experiment a bit to find out if it looks ok. Thank you!

Does anybody have both Chartres Blue 3776 and the burgundy 3776 to swap caps and post a photograph? I would be extremely pleased. :)

Im sure if you contact Asapens Mr S. Will make you pens in any colours you want, and for considerably less than the cost of 2 centuries.

I asked about having a pen made in our club colours (red/wht/blk) but the colours had to be a certain combination and it wasn't a problem.

I haven't got to the "getting it made" stage yet, but chose my own design to use for the pen from the Asapens range.

Could be an option for you.

Thank you for a hint. I am always careful when it comes to custom pens, because they are usually expensive and the final result can be quite unpredictable. But if you say that they aren't pricey... well, it seems to be a good option.

I have wanted to say one thing for quite long, and now I have a chance: I absolutely love this spaniel in your avatar.

The website would give you an idea of the kind of cost.

Having a colour variant made in any of the styles probably wouldn't cost an awful lot more.

It might be worthwhile asking.

Thanks

That's Hannah, our golden cocker, and she has the longest lugs ever.

She's an amazing wee thing, and has actually put in a few appearances on fpn.

I ran a couple of caption competition PIFs a while back, and she featured in those, which were fun.
