Riddle Me This - Columbus?

I picked this up pretty cheap, and it's really a nice writing pen. Really nice, in fact! I was able to fit a Jinhao converter on it, as well. So, there's no markings on the pen other that on the top of the cap. I'm certain this isn't an Italian Columbus, so is this a more modern German pen?

Could be Italian Columbus, in they are still made... It's not too bad looking.

One of my prettier piston pens is a Columbus from @ 1950.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
