So, we used the Solv-X ink for two fills and 2 fills with vintage Sheaffer Blue Black. You can't tell that it was ever stained.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Does anyone know if current Quink still has solv-X in it? Luckily I do still have an older bottle of blue that says solv-x on the label. But there's little ink left. So I wonder whether I have to keep this tucked away in case I manage to get a stained pen.

No it doesn't. However, bottles of older Quink w/Solv-X do show up on eBay, so keep an eye out for bottles that aren't too expensive.

And one of the new brands out of India contains Solv-X. I did find that the Vintage Sheaffer inks are terrific cleaners.

Yes, I have a small 30-ml bottle of Black with Solv-X. It hasn't really inspired me to great heights yet...

Yes, but I have a 30ml bottle of the new Indian Parker Quink Black w/Solv-X. It came with a pen I bought online.

I use the pen, but not the ink.

Ok, I will see what I can do.

Would you like a beta sample of Faux Penman Sapphire #10? Made only with the finest Iroshizuku inks? It's a little bit more expensive than FPS #9, which is half water, but it does have those special characteristics that the Iro inks have.

Inquiring minds want to know!! Have you tried mixing a little Asa-gao into Tsuyu-kusa?

FPS #10 Beta - 2 parts Asa-gao, 1 part Kon-peki.

Samples at home. You'll have to wait. Patiently.
