Lovely writing, also one of my preferred inks although i don't have it anymore. too expensive.

 

All we have is a sample of it, and it went into the Studio because it matches the color of the pen :-). I'd like to have an entire bottle of it, someday. It's a lovely color.

Hi FPers,

 

 

I've not been back to this thread since congratulating the winners of both pens. I wanted folks to know that I received a beautiful card from zwack ( and IrishEyes ). Zwack took the time to write in five or six pens different pens each with a different ink!! He wrote about a " day trip " that they took to a large City near them. His prose made me feel like I was on the outing with them. Writing with all of these combos had to take some time and I truely appreciate it.

 

I also saw the post zwack made with the Studio, actually I think IrishEyes did the writing sample. But I don't blame zwack, IrishEyes has a lovely handwriting!!

 

I just wanted to thank them for sending the card and their thanks on this thread

Good Morning to All!

 

Still in awe of the Red 3776! It's one of the repetitive global issues here, finding The pen that fits comfortably in your hand like no other.

I'm dashing out the door, but seeing your post had to Test it yet again. Yes, This 3776 is the One!

 

Even so, no pen on this planet will work magic with my inability to write beautifully. I'm content with legible. So like Zwack a stand-in FPN friend is helping.

I'd like to share with you what happened to me today!! In the mail I received a most wonderful surprise.

Before I share with you what I got, a little background information. You all can easily see my user name, but even knowing I merely sign my name as aggie there's a specific reason for the aggie. The school that has my total loyalty is Texas A & M University. Their colors are Maroon & White and the Mascot is a Collie. The mascot always wears a cape with the A & M logo on it. And we are called the Texas Aggies. With me so far?

Now for my gift. I was told by the winner of the Platinum 3776 that something would be coming my way. Well, Pen2Paper had our own T M Lee ( from Classifieds ) to make me a journal. And not just any journal. First you see the cover in, yup ~~~ Maroon, then there is an elastic matching closure band. The paper is Tomoe River. Inside the back cover is a pouch & on the last page of the journal is a cut-out picture of our beloved Collie, Revilee, with his cape around him. I could not have designed a more wonderful or fitting journal for myself!!

I could have PMed you Pen2Paper, however, I wanted to thank you properly on this thread.

And to T M Lee such a beautiful hand-made tome!! I would suggest others look at T M Lee's journals.

What a wonderful group of people we have here, as demonstrated by both aggie, and pen2paper, and so very many, many more! I love this group of people. Such a refreshing thing to find a forum where most of the members are kind, intelligent, generous, and supportive (or, perhaps, enabling? LOL!) of our shared interests. I am so happy that zwack and I stumbled upon this group, and happier still to get to know some of you. You all restore my faith in the goodness of human beings :-).

 

And, specifically, congratulations to you both, aggie and pen2paper. Kindness is as kindness does :-). As for TM Lee, I shall be checking out what s/he has to offer in the classifieds. Sounds like that person does some fantastic work!

Anyway, I am happy to hear its safe in your hands and am also happy that you like it.

 

Nice logos your school have

I came upon that idea of incorporating 'reveille' when I was googling "aggies"

 

The logos looked very suitable - strong thick lines - and more significantly , the school colours of deep maroon matched the journal covers almost perfectly.
