Vac 700 Replacement?

Has anybody heard if TWSBI will be replacing the vac 700 with another full-sized model? I have (and like) both the 700 and the vac mini, but prefer a larger pen because I have big hands.

As far as I'm aware, the Vac 700 isn't going anywhere - they've discontinued the coloured versions of the pen, but the clear demonstrator is still in production.

TWSBI have also put out some 'teasers' on their Facebook account: pictures of what look (to me) like acrylic versions of the Micarta (i.e. same profile, different materials) - but no word on whether or when these will see the light of day.

What Jamerelbe said. When I had an email exchange with TWSBI last summer on the subject, they indicated the plan was to continue production of the Vac 700. The sapphire, amber and smoke models are, alas, discontinued, but the clear-barreled model remains available.

I think the best indication of their plans can be found in the Vac 20A ink bottles. If the Vac 700 was discontinued, there would have been no requirement that the Vac 20a would fit both the Vac 700 and the Vac Mini. There was an additional expense in making the bottle work with both. Instead, they did make it work with both pens, which, to me, makes me think that the Vac 700 has a future for the foreseeable future.
