Who Made This Little Pen With A Snake Clip?

Recommended Posts

I have a smallish piston filler pen with a snake clip and the letter P on the nib and the base of the barrel. I don't know who made it and wonder if anyone can tell me. It is very recent production.

It does look a lot like a Pentel P, doesn't it? Maybe the pen's some sort of fake Pentel by one of the Chinese manufacturers...

No idea who made that one, Bama, but it's a nice looking pen.

Voldemort?

In light of the death last week of Alan Rickman, who played Professor Snape, I suppose that this pen may have been his.

Edison (among others) sell snake pen clips. That could be an add on. The P is reminiscent of Pentel but I dont usually see it as just a P...

Pentel...I'll look into that. But the snake is original to the pen, there is even an indentation in the cap that it fits into.

I find this slightly irritating because I have seen pens with that 'P' quite recently, but I can't remember where.

The pen is based on the Montblanc Agatha and is very similar in many respects. Nice pen.

The snake clip resembles to those made by Tom Westerich. Do you know if it is original to the pen?

You do wonder what sort of company would produce a piston filling fountain pen as a promotional thing. Given the sans serif "P"would this have been the '70s? The pen itself looks quite new...

The clip is definitely original to the pen. I bought the pen brand new within the last year. The cap is actually recessed to receive the snake where it wraps around, so the pen and clip were made for each other.

Interesting. Let us know if you solve the mystery: I really would like to own a pen like that :-)

Yes, it definitely resembles the Montblanc Agatha Christie. Here's a picture of it with my Agatha:
