Help Identifying A Pen (Possibly Czechoslovakian)

Hello to all,

I've been lurking on this site for quite a while now and learned a lot from many of you and for that I want to thank you.

Now for the topic of this post. I recently got a fountain pen with a Ripedium Point 50 nib. These, as far as I know, were fitted in Czechoslovakian pens made by Centropen.

I have a few other pens by Centropen, but this one is not marked in any way - no serial number or name apart for the inscription on the nib.

It is a piston filler with an ink window.

Does anyone have an idea what model this could be?

Maybe a Ripet pen?

Thank you!

IMO a Frankenpen. Normally the top and the bottom would match. I can not see a fishbone top with a plain black bottom. Metal top perhaps...but not a fishbone top.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

hi, thanks for the reply.

I thought that the cap/body mismatch was somewhat strange too, however the cap screws onto the body perfectly (without any overlapping, movement, or being excessively tight) and the material of the top of the cap matches the material of the body.

It can still be a franken-pen of some kind though.

Hi.

Franken-pen without any doubt.

Cap is PEGA / P&L pen.

The pen itself looks like an early Smaragd pen.

Hello,

I knew you would shed some more light on this, Khufu. The body really seems as a Smaragd pen - in comparison to what I've found on the web.

Do you have any more info on the cap maker ( PEGA / P&L ). The only thing similar to this cap that I've been able to find is this : http://penmania.bloger.cz/Pera/Imperial-30-leta-

napsano-sklem

Anyway I'm gonna embrace the franken-pen as it is since I like the look of it and especially how it writes. It is an interesting addition to my smallish pen collection :)
