I might for the first time, but I haven't committed to do so yet. I've thought of who I could write to. For instance, a ranger at a national prairie I visited, pen sellers, maybe even congress people.

 

I have several pen pals, but I only owe one letter right now. Trying to decide if I want to join the Letter Writers Alliance.

I'll join in this year also. This will be my first time and, to be honest, I'm a bit aprehensive about it since I'm not a wordy person. Writing letters comes pretty hard to me.

I think many of us were that way at first. Letters need not be long - especially the first letter to a person.

 

Sometimes you develop a feel for the other person over time. Others, it just doesn't feel right after only a few letters. Some I have been writing to for an extended period.

Oh no you dont! I want my standard 3 page, front and back letters still... tell the hubby not to disturb you during letters being written to me (:<

I'm in too! The website for INCOWRIMO 2015 was quite brilliant - I'm checking it often but it's not updated. So, PM me for an address and we'll get writing on our own. Happy penning! M.

Yes and no. The similar project, LetterMo limits who can see your address (if you posted it) - no one not logged in, and you can also refine that to "friends". For those in the US, a PO Box is a feasible option however, one year is £252.00 converts to over 350 USD at the moment (more than a lovely looking Edison Huron Grande!).

Also, if the option to edit is not time-limited, you can remove your address later, hoping no one else has quoted the address in a thread.

There is an online address service - https://www.postable.com/ where you can put your address in other people's address books (they will have a personal link), although some people have forgotten to update their details when they move.

You can also ask people to pm you for your address.

aworldofsnailmail provided some really good comments for you. I would only add that you can participate by choosing to write to people you already know - friends, family members - and they can get more than one post from you in the month!

 

If you don't already have a penpal, this would be a good time to pick up a couple. You could get their addys first, and start the writing process. I have had several penpals (domestic and international) from FPN, and haven't had a concern about any of them. The bigger issue seems to be that one or the other of us takes so long to write back that we eventually lose contact.

I wonder if there is a way we can each sign up on one another's calenders? That way we can fill in all the days of the month before it's time to write :)
