The Sakura YUZEN paper in blue hues ...

 

Trying out the matched pair concept but this time exploring the effect of smaller motifs.

I happen to have bookcloth bearing a very close shade to the YUZEN paper.

Dude, you do some really nice work. Is there any way I could order an A5 sized book from you? I'd like to do an ink journal and think this would be a great way to do it.

What is the paper like? I've never heard of it. I was going to commission a TR paper book, but now I'm curious about this paper. :)

Erm ...

 

The YUZEN paper (Japanese) is used on the covers , partially .

It's not the writing paper in the bookblock.

 

The writing paper in the bookblock is still TR paper.

A very sturdy bookblock becos of the heavier paper.

 

 

The fabric is denser quilting cotton print.

It doesnt deform or stretch quite so easily.

I was pretty impressed.

 

The printing is high quality , look at the detail of the print ...

I'm not a Star War's fan but I really love the grey/white/black & red colour combination. I'm seriously tempted to order another of your beautiful journals with those red fly-leaves, bookmark and stitches, with a contrasting grey print cover of some kind. Stunning!
