I decided to try one of the new Chinese-made Vectors.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Stipula Etruria de Architectura in the red with green squiggles Tibaldi celluloid. It has an unique clip and a 1.1 mm italic nib. Too many temping features.

The most interesting thing is that is a new LE (193 pens) from Stipula. That's encouraging, given their recent apparent near death experience.

Waiting on a Delta Dolcevita Federico media "Demon gt" which will be here in the next few days.

Unfortunately I will only get a wee look and feel of it when it arrives, before "mission control" puts it away for Christmas. :( sigh!

About an hour after I posted this, the Delta arrived.

Finally my stainless steel Lilliput has arrived. I seem to get a much better grip on this diminutive pen because its cap-threads are cut a little sharper. The section is too narrow for me to hold & write, but if I grip it a little higher, up by the cap-threads, I get quite good control. :)

This tiny pen is more designed for "extreme" carrying convenience than for writing long letters. For writing cheques or short notes & lists, this pen will do perfectly.

Into the Lilliput I've installed my favourite 14c Kaweco 0.8 stub that's been set up to use Pelikan's very dry, but water resistant blue/black ink cartridges.

Oh dear, please someone stop me looking at pens....

So now that's a Pilot VP Capless, a couple of sexy old Sheafers and now this lovely thing all ordered in a week :yikes:

Ooh. Is that a Silver Pearl? What size is it (it's *so* hard to determine which Vac model is which...). I was lucky In that the one I got a couple of years ago on eBay did not need to be serviced.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I'm waiting on a Lamy 2000 fine. I already have the pen in extra fine and broad and also a matching mechanical pencil. I must like them!

Waiting for a NOS Omas 360 and a Visconti London Fog (this one a gift for my son).

I hope the Omas gives me a better experience than the Dolcevita OS that arrived yesterday: beautiful pen, but I sure would like it better if it would write! :(

Three Italian pens in a week! I certainly didn't see this coming, considering that I only had the Visconti HS in the collection.

Congrats!

Thanks Eli

I did get it out (just to check it over, you understand.) and I'm still pinching myself.

When I started my fountain pen journey I used to drool over Delta pens, and dream, never imagining for a second that I'd ever own any.

Just need to wait on the dude with the white beard now.

He's also bringing a burgundy Italix Captains' Commission, with a fine italic nib so the wait will certainly be worth it.

The Pilot 845 has made it as far as my local post office and is scheduled to arrive today.

Does it count if I'm technically the one who mailed it?

My Pilot Custom Heritage 91 fine had a... let's call it an "incident" so it's off to Daniel Smith for some minor repair (really just need to be smoothed out but was beyond my meager abilities in that area) and to be ground into a cursive italic. Not fussed over the time, but looking forward to getting it back.

I'm currently waiting on a fine-nib Pilot Metropolitan and a Parker Jotter ballpoint in 60th Anniversary Blue-Green. Unfortunately, the Jinhao I ordered hasn't arrived in well over a month. I'm afraid it has been lost in the mail.

My ink arrived (from the UK - it was sent on November 30th. Has the Royal Mail finally figured out how to teleport things or what?), but they sent me an 80ml bottle instead of the 30ml I ordered. Not that I'd mind, but my conscience tells me that I better go and get that sorted out.

The pens, according to the tracking number, departed from Shanghai Intl. Airport (which one it didn't say) today, which sounds rather promising.

I do love it when stuff from China is sent with a tracking number - it always doubles as a geography lesson. I actually got sidetracked looking up the place they were sent from and the distance they've covered so far via Google Street View, then ended up on Wikipedia... and then the afternoon was suddenly over.
