I'm afraid I have bad news. My package was delivered this morning, but the box contained only tissue paper. There was tape on the box saying that it had been inspected by US Customs, so I don't know whether the pen was stolen while it was in Customs or afterward. Fortunately, it was insured. I've sent photos of the box to the dealer so he can file a claim. He assures me that another pen can be obtained.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Both of my pens came today! Canadian Waterman's 52 1/2 V and an Emerald Green Parker Vacumatic! They are off to get restored by Aaron at Pentiques.com on Monday!

Onoto 3000 in what looks a lovely (to me) combination of black barrel with red swirled section and cap, with two gold barrel bands and a No.3 nib. Also, an Onoto 21, just a celluloid (or injection moulded) lever filler which will require some repair. Interesting to me were the No.15 nib, of which I have no other, and the fact it was made in Australia after Onoto had closed down in Britain.

Continuing your bid to take over the world of Onotos, praxim? :)

The 3000 sounds really cool.

I have a couple of Sheaffers on the way. A blue Taranis, and a black Imperial IV.

Well, in regard to the 3000 my prior personal notes are summarised with, "What's not to love?" so I was not too surprised to win the auction. However, I am trying to back off a little now. I have a good collection of those series most interesting to me and no desire to be a one man Hunt brothers of the Onoto world. :yikes:

When everything arrives I'll try for a general display of the goodies in the forum titled "Great Britain and Ireland minus - Europe"

:wallbash: Well, now I've gone & bought a FC #6 broad SIG nib. I was going to wait until I had more money on hand, but I talked myself into it. Figure I'm going to pull a few pens out of the non-op storage to sell to make up for the loss.

Those little voices!

I have a medium SIG, which is wonderful. Hope you enjoy yours.

I've been really throttling back lately... honestly... but there is a Diamond Medal ring top in Lapis blue that is on it's way. This and the recently arrived John Holland ring top require a new sac each. So that's the next task - it's really not as daunting as I thought a couple of months back.

That sounds like me! Although I make California minimum wage and I just bought a Parker Vac and a Waterman's that needs total restoration XD Welp ramen for dinner all week for me! :P

I am waiting for a Montblanc 220. I am very excited about the nib, which appears to be a white gold double broad or at least a broad. Here is a picture from the seller:

Still waiting for the flexible Eversharp Skyline. Stuck in customs, poor thing.

Practice, patience, perseverance

Waterman 52 red ripple.

Closing up my wallet [for] now, something easier to do with significantly less bulk in it. Recently happy sellers may wish to gnash their teeth a little, perhaps emitting a slight wail.

I have gone from 1 to 30+ pens in a few months, and am feeling quite content with it all.
