Three pens, dont know the make or the model or the condition. I went into a Charity shop on Monday, asked if they had any pens. Nice old bloke behind the counter said that they didnt but he had three at home that he didnt use and would donate to the shop if I paid £5 and money for postage. I gave him the money. he put them in the mail yesterday.

Post man is due within the hour!

I think they might be three Montblanc 136, perhaps not.

One Platignum, one Slimfold and and a Parker 15 Fibre tip.

The Platignum can have a wash out and go for parts, the Slimfold is good enough to sort out and the Fibre Tip - either a BPP refill or I might be able to get some thick ink into it from the top.

Its for charity so not an issue.

You may recall my report that a Montblanc Rouge et Noir 1906 ebonite pen shipped from the Netherlands was lost in the miasma of the US Postal Service after having left the Chicago Post Office on July 28. I did file an inquiry with them, but had not heard anything until today, when I rechecked the tracking number. As if by magic, the package has appeared in the Fort Worth post office early this morning. We'll have to see how long it takes them to deliver it (and what condition it's in).

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

At least there's a glimmer of light...

I just recently introduced myself as a brand new "Noob"

That being said, at the moment I do not have a single fountain pen to my name

This is as of today.

Scheduled for delivery tomorrow is a brand new Pilot Metropolitan with Medium Nib. Pilot Con 50 Converter and a bottle of Noodlers Bay State Blue.

Needless to say, I will be stalking my mailbox!

Sadly, I seem to lack some control as my research has led me to some other items.

On the Slow Boat from China, I have a Jinhao 159, 599-A, converters and a Jinhao #189 AKA the "Great Wall/Cauldron pen .

Which I purchased for the princely sum of $8 just because I thought it looked really "Cool"!

But nothing nearly as "Cool" as what the rest of you are waiting for!
