What Pen Are You Waiting For In The Mail 2016

OK Malcolm, will post when they arrive. I usually allow about three weeks. I think loading and unloading the convicts on the transport to here slows them down. ;)

I googled the Karas. It does look pretty good in copper.

Two Franklin Christoph 45 XLVs in Coco Pearl and Cherry Ice, both with steel S.I.G. nibs (fine and broad). The coco one is for me, the other I'm buying for my partner. Ordered yesterday; should be delivered here in Aus on Friday.

Good luck with your XLV! I'm tempted to try one.

Thank you. I'm looking forward to its arrival. Now, which ink? Hmmmmmm :-)

Yay, the Sheaffer Craftsman set arrived today! As I suspected, it's not a Snorkel, just a plain Tip Dip, which is fine by me.

Both pen and pencil are absolutely pristine; it's like someone bought the set then stuck it away in a drawer where it's been gathering dust for 60 years. Ooh, I'm excited!

Mercy - It's a ballpoint. Just got my electric orange Lamy Pico.

I've stopped buying fountain pens for a while now and am actually gearing up to sell some of my old ones (+ inks) to pare down the collection to daily users.

But there's still one pen I'm fondly waiting for. It's a custom-designed Hakumin Edison Extended Mina with urushi work and art by Ernest Shin. Unfortunately, it's been almost three years.

Mina, oh Mina...when will you come home from the war...let's make 2016 your lucky year. :')

I'm still waiting on a couple of Chinese pens from eBay.

But I also just ordered a TWSBI Eco in black with the 1.1mm stub, to go with the TWSBI Diamond 580AL I've had a week and love so much I'm thinking about just cleaning out all my other pens and putting them away.

So I figure that will show up towards the end of this week. I'm excited - I have been wanting a stub nib. I had a Plumix just to try it out and I did like it but hated the Plumix and I'm also not a fan of writing with the Metropolitan, so my daughter got that pen.

Um, let me see, that would be a couple more Onotos, 5601 (No 2 nib this time) and 6233. Ebay prices are erratic, some better, some worse, but I am staying well within prices from small retailers for what appear to be pens if corresponding quality based on descriptions and photos.

And ... another Sheaffer Craftsman pen and pencil set, this one in blue.

Also, one of those Sailor-made Sheaffers, in stainless steel, complete with the squeeze converter.

Now I'm waiting on a MB 149 in Red Gold with an O3B nib from Appelbloom. Frankly I'm shocked. After reading how long it takes most people to get their hands on this nib I thought I'd have to wait while they ordered it. Instead it's already on its way to me and Fedex says I'll get it Friday.

A midnight blue P51 aero, a navy blue P51 aero, a 1st generation Sonnet Firedance (gold nib) and a nice P45 Insignia. Hopefully, the lot would arrive day after tomorrow.

August 2016 -

For $1.32, I won a Jinhao x250 fountain pen. It would be my fifth or sixth. It is durable, reliable, slightly wet, and excellent value. I use to have six, but I left one with a wedding, guest book, and it never came back. (small loss) However, it has been six weeks, since shipping, and I am doubting whether it will be received.

I just received a Jinhao 8812 from eBay - and it is such a nice pen for the $4 I paid. It had a fine nib, which surprised me. After a good cleaning it writes so smoothly - the only problem is I think my husband is going to take it off to work.

I'm still waiting on a Hero 616 from eBay, and a TWSBI Eco that should be here by the end of the week.

Just received my first Jinhao X450, in dark red. What a good pen. There are another three in the post...well, at that price...

Also a black Sheaffer PFM III...a classic?

Have received tracking notification that the Karas Kustoms Copper K has begun its journey, and in anticipation, I listened to a bit of Metallica last night.

Yes, heavy metal. :D
