I've got a Delta Dolcevita arriving tomorrow, a Jinhao 500 which should be here early next week and a Shinobi from Newton Pens which is slated to arrive May 2017 :)

Lamy 2000 Makrolon - I waited a little to see what the anniversary version was like and was thoroughly unimpressed, so I went for the good ol' original.

Pelikan m600 - I ordered the m400 then cancelled the order a few days later because my feet were freezing. I just didn't think it was worth the £150. After a while I reasoned that I was probably going to get one anyway, so before prices are raised any further I settled on a brand new m600 for just a few quid more.

I'm waiting for a Noodler's Ahab flex fountain pen in black. I'm so excited--my first flex pen! Now to scrape and save for that Pilot vanishing point...

Because I was so impressed with the Sheaffer Cadet, I ordered another one, in black; appears to be in excellent shape

Also, 2 Craftsman in dark green - one looks in excellent condition from the photos but doesn't draw in ink according to the seller, the other looks really thrashed but supposedly works. I had just completed the sale on the thrashed one (pretty cheap, fortunately) when I stumbled onto the better-looking non-working one. Looks like I'll get to try out Main Street Pens repair services.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

My Pelikan m600 arrived for me this morning, and to be honest I'm a little underwhelmed. So at this stage I'm not going to bother flushing it and inking it up just in case I choose to return it.

In the flesh the size and weight is similar to what I was expecting as it's very lightweight and the same barrel girth as my Pilot Falcon. The ink chamber is tiny! :yikes:. There are many imperfections on the barrel, although these aren't your usual typical Pelikan quality control issues, these are imperfections due to the manufacturing process itself, so they're natural.

I've got two Pelikans and both have the same imperfections on the barrel - I think that's the nature of the beast with regards to Pelikan. Frankly I don't notice it anymore but perhaps that's because I really love my Pelikans so I'm inclined to overlook the imperfections :)

Hey Mike, yeah you're quite right. The imperfections don't bother me really - I expected them and they are, as you quite rightly say, the nature of the beast. Anything that makes a pen unique is all good.

It's rare that I get a pen and instantly think "wow!!". In this case it's the pen's larger than life price that made me feel disappointed, but I also usually get to like it when I've become accustomed to the pen's 'personality'.

For the next 30 days(the time I have to decide if I want to return it or not) I'm going to put it alongside my other pens where it can be seen, judged, compared, and occasionally glanced at by me in the hope that a spark of affection may develop....

You have more will-power than I! I rarely get a pen and don't have it flushed and inked up (after a quick inspection of the nib/tines) in less than an hour!

Good luck with your decision!

Cheers. I usually do too!

It's just that in this case, I didn't because of the price and because I was in 2 minds about it before anyway.

A long-anticipated one, Pilot Custom Heritage 91 with Soft Medium nib. Currently sitting in Malaysian Customs. I hope they don't take too long to clear the shipment.

For the longest time I agonized over whether to get a CH91 or CH92. Finally went with the former because my daily use ink, Sailor Sei Boku, does have a tendency to stain converters and demonstrator self-fillers. With the CH91 I can just get two CON-70s and dedicate one of them to Sei Boku.

At this point, just the ASA Trans Nauka. Everything else has arrived :-).
