To be precise I am waiting for three Indian Made ebonite eye droppers-

@ Guider miniature/nano ( probably the smallest ED)

@ Guider Baby acrylic and

@ Gama Supreme .

All three would probably arrive within a couple of days.

Latest note from USPS tracking:

The raving dingbats are attempting to deliver to some unknown place in Ireland. The seller (bless him) is trying to deal with USPS in the USA to help them, and so far meeting some sort of indifferent stonewalling as if they could not be wrong. I shall see how he has fared today, and am writing myself not that there is any obvious target they disclose until you want to complain after they have already lost it.

:wallbash:

UPS isn't much better. Take a look at this itinerary for my pen coming from Bryant at Chatterley. Mesquite is over on the far side of Dallas, about 65 miles away from me.

Some pretty extraordinary logistics.

Here, in Atlanta, there are three scans in three different zip codes. That's a pretty big bunch of traffic, in my estimate. I'm grateful that mine's not making the magical mystery tour yours are. But it's sort of amazing anything gets anywhere.

Maybe praxim can get some rewards miles – free trip to Hawaii (off-season) maybe?

Oh no, this is getting ridiculous. The pens have now landed in Ireland, still the wrong way.

Dear USPS,

If you look on the map here, Australia is the purple bit over on the right. To get there, if you are standing in the green bit facing North, turn left, and then a bit more. Turning right is the wrong way to go.

You can't miss us, really, we are one of the world's six continents and quite a warm, pleasant place where English is spoken. The bigger one to our South is pretty cold and the other bits are not Australia, no matter how hard you try.

Good luck

Praxim

You made my day with this post! I had a bad experience with them lately too, though it wasn't quite as bad as yours. I ordered some ejuice from California and it was supposedly in transit for 9 days. I think they took it on a world tour because there's no way it takes 9 days to fly to Australia from Cali.

I have to say that it's extremely frustrating ordering pens on eBay from China. Ordered some pens over a month ago, just arrived and one of the pens I ordered wasn't sent. So I guess I have to wait another month for that one. Jeez. Glad I've got a few FPs to keep me going for now.

TWSBIs are fun. It's even fun just to say the name.

I've had that same experience with Chinese sellers but, in a welcome change, 2 Jinhao 611s I ordered from 2 different sellers on 5-21 both arrived on 5-31 - quelle surprise! That said, the Sailor Clear Candy writing set I ordered from Japan on 4-20 and was shipped on 4-21 is still winding it's way to me, hopefully to arrive by 6-9.

What astonishes me most about the Chinese sellers is not that they can sell the pens for a dollar or two but that that price includes free shipping.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

All was quiet on the Irish front.

Four days we waited with no news, then the tracking suddenly said "IT IS IN AUSTRALIA".

Magical.

When the package gets here, and the pens are in my hands, I shall start to be more confident. One mustn't rush these things.

This saga reminds me of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness. My package from Chatterley managed to stay in Fort Worth long enough to be delivered yesterday. It's an elegant Delta Stantuffo made of Marmo Incrinato celluloid with silver furniture and a large 18k rhodianized stub nib.

I know! I guess we should give the Glorious People's Communist Party some credit for this (but I'd rather not).

Yay! Hopefully they get to you as you wanted them. If there's anything wrong with them, sign me up to the militia you form in response.

If pen's had religion I think they would write this into their holy book. Also, I love your signature.

Parker 45 G/T black barrel fine nib; looks in pretty good condition from the pics. "Buy Now" item, too, so I didn't even have to faff around with bidding - yippee! Est. arr. 7-8.

So my Reform 1745's arrived, which was surprising, since the seller, in his unending wisdom, forgot to mark the things as "sent"... *snrk*
Oh well, fine by me.

My Delta Dolcevita Federico STILL wasn't sent (I guess... unless they just forgot to tell me, too); if that one's not here by June 10th I'll have to do some message sending...
