Sigh. This list is getting LONG.

Jinhao x450 blue - should arrive on Monday or something like that. I hope.

Jinhao x450 red, different red, white, black - will take several weeks, but the package was sent with DHL (which I, as a German, am very well acquainted with and place my utmost trust in), so I'm confident it will arrive in good condition and reasonably fast.
Noodler's Ahab (Arizona) - could, but doesn't necessarily have to, arrive on Monday as well. Sent from Britain. Let's hope the Royal Mail (and their German colleagues) gets a move on for once, because I'm really eager to get my hands on this one.
Jinhao 8812 - will most likely take ages. Sent from Singapore. Curious to see if it's faster or slower than the ones from China.

aaaand now also featuring another Jinhao 159.
A friend and I were talking about fountain pens, which she'd stopped using years ago after having one leak all over the place. So, I let her try my cheaper ones, because why not, right?
Her pretty much instant reaction was "Huh, maybe I should switch back to fountain pens."
Then I realized her birthday was coming up and offered that I could just gift her one.
She chose a Jinhao 159 after she was really impressed with mine. Her opinion on that pen changed from "how can you even write with this thing?" when she first saw it to "hey, that's actually kind of neat" to "Oooh, I like it" in about half a minute.
(Said line-up of cheap-ish pens, by the way, included well-established German brands like Online (Academy), Lamy (AL-Star) and Pelikan (Twist), as well as my beloved Pentel Tradios, so it's not like I didn't give her any options.)

I keep forgetting that I have a Sailor Clear Candy writing set - 2 nibs, 2 each blue, black and red cartridges - coming. Oh, and a Preppy, too. Both late May estimated delivery. :(

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I'm awaiting a Sailor with a 21k nib and zoom nib. In any-colour-you-like-as-long-as-it's-black.

The zoom nib and 21k nib seems quite unique to me so they can add value to my collection, but if only Japanese pen makers would make a pen that doesn't look like a Mont Blanc in black. I was at least hoping to find a different colour.

Soon I will have a Sailor 21k with zoom nib and Pilot Custom 74 SF that will be like twins lol

I just ordered two extra fine Pelikan M400 nibs for my and my sisters pens. I'm excited to get it as I can't use the medium nib, it's far too thick.

Georgia Peach may be a bit light to use for regular writing. But it is a really nice ink to use as a highlighter color.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Jinaho x450 4-pack: ordered April 29 with standard shipping. Checked the tracking just now, it's already in Germany, apparently, and will thus arrive pretty soon. Which is massively surprising and 100% awesome.

Jinhao 159: birthday present for a friend. Sent with the same company as the one above, albeit from a different country. If that one makes it just as quick (est. delivery says May 11 at the earliest), I will be a very happy Guardy.

Noodler's Ahab: arrived two days ago, I think, just as it should have. Yay!

Jinhao x450 (dark blue w/ swirls): Ordered a month ago. Should have arrived on May 2nd at the latest. Still waiting.

and also some micro-mesh to fix up some cheap nightmare nibs (for... reasons?), which ALSO should have arrived days ago. I have no idea why that one is taking so long.

Noodler's Ahab and a Goulet #6 1.1 mm stub nib. I like those nibs in my Konrads. As a left-handed overwriter, I don't have much practical use for flex nibs. Sometimes I play with them, but I can't actually make legible letters with them.

If the Ahab is as easy to clean as I imagine, then I'll be able to better work through different inks. I find that as I get pen and ink combinations that feel great, I tend to stick with them -- a sort of dedicated pen for an ink.

I figure the Ahab will be useful until I can decide on the next 50 or so pens that make the perfect companions to the other inks. I can now see how matchmaking in the 19th century was a full time job for someone.

Just arrived.

Sailor 21k with zoom nib alongside my Pilot Custom 74.

If you look closely, the gold trimmings state "Sailor Japan Founded 1911" to distinguish it clearly from other Japanese pens (I'll probably seek out some other Sailor of a different colour and then swap the nib out with this one. Cigar black is like Smith and Jones).

Currently in soap to clean off all the oils. Can't wait to ink it up and see what this zoom nib has to offer!
