Still waiting for my Jinhao x450.

Protip: Don't order stuff from China if you're very, very impatient. You will suffer.

My Pilot/Namiki Fountain was supposed to be delivered yesterday but I got a notice saying the "we attempted to deliver but the business was closed" argh!

Deep breath, hopefully gets here today.

I think the thread title in my case should be "what pens you are NOT waiting/expecting in the mail", anyways in the past few days I have been receiving pens that I had not purchased/ordered, on Monday got 6 pens, three of which I bought (after receiving them) one Parker 75 vermeil and a NOS Waterman 14PSF full-flex stub (possibly super-flex) nib and a NOS Waterman 12S Safety pen with full-flesx stub nib, and today I got 8 more pens, few Sheaffers including some lady Sheaffers and a slim Targa and an Eversharp and a Parker Sonnet Athens.

Best regards.

What an outpouring!!!

Actually you will learn patience (LOL). Hang in there!! I've been waiting about 8 weeks for a pen from India. Now that is suffering..

I have to deal with some seriously awful public transport every day, I was fairly convinced I had learned patience.

I was sorely mistaken.

Oh gosh, I feel your pain.

There's a German proverb about how anticipation is the greatest joy of all, if that helps.
Unfortunately it doesn't translate very well, which probably says quite a lot about its relevance. Sigh.

Pulled the trigger on my first MB:

My dad used to have one of these in maroon. No idea what happened to it, but I remember I liked it quite a bit.

In other news, I am waiting for a Franklin-Christoph Model 29 Bellus rollerball in maroon. I really wanted the fountain pen, but unfortunately it has been discontinued.

I surprisingly received my Jinhao X450 in the mail today. Listing estimated earliest date of the 29th.

Pen is as described in various posts online, very dark in low light. But in good lighting, the green marble color looks nice.

Received a green LE Delta Unica today from Anderson Pens. Hubby's birthday gift to me :) and my first foray into Italian pens. Haven't unboxed it yet, but pictures online look beautiful.

In the mail (hopefully) is a Pelikan M200 Café Crème with a B nib, to replace the one I lost in March. Happened onto the eBay listing the other night with about 10-12 hours to go on the auction (I hadn't even been looking because most places they're no longer available now). So no nickel and dining on this one. And then talked to the husband first thing the next morning, going "So, how much higher can I go as a maximum.....?" And it turned out that it went up a bit by the closing bell, but not anywhere to the point of my initial bid. B) And less than I paid for the one I lost, and WAAAY less than they were originally going for. And there was free shipping to boot....

What I can't figure is why the seller even had it listed. I mean, my first one had skipping issues until I took it to nibmeister, so I'm going in with my eyes open. But the pen was apparently barely used (did the seller decide it was too small and wanted to spring for an M800 or something?) and only had a few bids on it when I saw the listing. It went up a bit overnight, but still went for way cheaper than it should have -- not that I'm complaining of course..... ;)

Next up in the queue is going to be one of the new Dark Lilac Safaris (and yeah, I don't mind calling it a "girly" color name). Still waffling over what size nib to get for it -- I was thinking F, but I'm wondering if I should consider picking up a either an EF or a B nib for it as well (it's kinda too bad that the italic nibs don't come with the black finish).

Not in the mail? It's a black Namiki Falcon I ran across in an antiques store this afternoon (for about a third of the price of a new one... :yikes:). My husband may get it, especially if I decide it's a bit too heavy for me, but I will have to figure out whether the F nib is sufficient for his tastes; also since I've never used one, I've got to figure out if it's got the converter or is just one of the cartridges.

Also in the mail (but not pen related is a 45 RPM that was apparently a promo record). Hoping it's playable. Of course the stereo is currently not hooked up, but still. The price was right -- under $6.25 US, even with the shipping.

Mine showed up this afternoon. It is a beautifully made, well polished ebonite pen with a JOWO 1.1 stub nib. It is called the ASA Genius, and I am a happy camper! Patience did pay off!!!

Just received the Rosewood Ebonite Wahl Eversharp DecoBand with super flex nib. It's a beautiful pen and writes smoothly without skips or hard starts F-->BB. Love this pen! Considered to be oversized but very comfortable even in my small hands.

Thanks, Syd!

Just make sure you don't get outside of the window of time where you can dispute the paypal charges (if paid with paypal that is).
