What Pen Are You Waiting For In The Mail 2016

Recommended Posts

About to pull the trigger on my first "expensive" pen, a Pilot/Namiki Falcon. I'm hoping I like it as much as I think I will based on the good reviews.

I hope you like it too! And how much you like it will depend mostly on your expectations. It has enough good points with it's unique nib and good flow for you to like it no matter what though. Speaking from experience from someone who just got theirs the other day.

Pilot Custom 823, Conid Bulkfiller, and a Conklin Word Gauge LE in red, #84 of 99 ever made.

Ball-point pens are only good for filling out forms on a plane.

Did you get that on ebay? I looked at one exactly like that but passed on it. Looks good, grats!

For myself, a Parker Arrow, matte black with medium point in original box, listed as brand new, never used.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Yeah seller has eight left.

I overpaid at $13 shipped but had a hard time finding an unused one with fine nib so succumbed to it :)

Does this one come with stub nib???

No, unfortunately not. I've seen eBay listings which include a B as a nib option, but even that might be too thin to have ground to a stub.

Sadly, USPS has marked the pen as "undeliverable as addressed" and they're returning it to the sender in Japan 😫

I never had a Lamy. Out of curiosity, I've ordered a Safari fine and a converter. Also, I've ordered a new converter for my Townsend, as the old one is leaking.

After some worries that USPS was going to return this to the sender, it arrived and it's beautiful!

I think the thread title in my case should be "what pens you are NOT waiting/expecting in the mail", anyways in the past few days I have been receiving pens that I had not purchased/ordered, on Monday got 6 pens, three of which I bought (after receiving them) one Parker 75 vermeil and a NOS Waterman 14PSF full-flex stub (possibly super-flex) nib and a NOS Waterman 12S Safety pen with full-flesx stub nib, and today I got 8 more pens, few Sheaffers including some lady Sheaffers and a slim Targa and an Eversharp and a Parker Sonnet Athens.

Best regards.

Patiently waiting on my Jinhao X450 (green marble).

Trying to decide what will be next after that. Looking into the Retro 51 Tornado Lincoln. Love the color.
