Started thinking I'd like to try out a flex nib. Grabbed an inexpensive Noodler's demonstrator.

My fingers are always inky and I'm always looking for something new.  Interested in trading?  Contact me!

Hej,

recently made a quite good deal on a Pelikan M100 "Stormtrooper", promoted as NOS 1988 (the pen was produced from 1987-1993 ?).

Attached is a random image from somewhere on the internet to make you all cry when you see that original pricetag on it.

Best regards

Berg

My obsessiveness should be (temporarily) rewarded Tuesday with the arrival of an Omas Milord Noir and an Omas Ogiva Alba!

Bought a Sailor Sapporo Yukitsubaki, but it turned out to have some issues with the gold plating on the cap bands and I returned it to the seller. Now I'm just waiting on its replacement...impatiently waiting. Would love to own the entire four seasons collection, but alas I don't think my wallet could afford it. Maybe if I get some birthday money I'll buy another pen from the collection.

Also waiting on my first Platinum pen to arrive. Though I've been very tempted to try the Century 3776 pens, I can't stand demonstrators. Instead, I ordered the Shunju model from the Vicoh series. This will be my first Maki-e type pen, and I'm very excited to see it in person.

Enjoy the maki-e!!! It's a style of pen I've drooled on for quite awhile now....

Ironically....my pen $$ has gone to acquiring all of the Sailor "4 Seasons" series....Summer (Green) and Winter (Ivory/White) are due in today, in fact--- completing the set!!:)

BTW....I have the Century 3776 in Bourgogne (Burgundy) -- it's more opaque than transparent....Beautiful color!!

Always try to get the dibs....on fountain pens with EF nibs!!

Nothing exciting here. I am waiting on an Osmiroid Copperplate nib unit that I won for about $11, and a very beat up Waterman 52 (cost $20) that may have a serviceable soft nib (it's about all us poor people can hope for).

Just sold a pair of Parker 45s for not very much money. Was going to give them away, changed my mind. Was hoping to put the cash toward a Franklin Christoph 66 but... waiting lists, and I haven't been informed of availability as of today, so I may give that up as a lost cause. (Had intended it as a birthday present to self, but that has no been and gone. Birthday was present-less :( )

Giving in to the temptation of a TWSBI Vac 700, 1.1mm stub nib. I still feel a bit wary of a filling system I don't quite understand though....

I'm waiting for a Pilot Custom 743 with the sutab/stub nib. I'm pretty sure it's at my local post office. Going to rush out of work tomorrow to pick it up. Can't wait!

My Bronze Arco Omas Ogiva Vintage is on its way back to me after some surgery to replace the difficult-to-control extra flessibile with a regular 18K fine nib.

And because I wanted "free" shipping i dropped a few (yikes!!) pennies on a new Nakaya Sumi Gold Decapod (medium).

Hurry up Mister Postman!

Bought my very first Parker 51!!

Won't actually see it until next week but here are some photos by the seller.

It's supposedly a full size Parker 51, 1948 Aerometric burgundy pen with a 1/10 GF cap (with what looks like a longer clip) - in really nice condition.

It's been taken apart and cleaned and seems to write well.

One thing that is a bit up in the air is that nib it is. Seller thought fine-to-medium.

If anyone here have a guess I'd be more than happy to hear ;)

Pilot/Namiki Rhodium Resin Soft Extra Fine Falcon. I want to try a flex pen to get line variation. I know a lot of you don't think it's flex but to me it is, and I don't like vintage flex, the lines get too wide too quick. Hopefully the Falcon is not too stiff for me.

Haven't formally placed the order because it's not out yet, but I'll be getting one of the ebonite Montblanc Heritage Rouge et Noir FPs with an OM nib. Should go nicely with the coral FP I bought last weekend. I'm going to get the nib exchanged on the coral from a medium to a fine.

Got a pleasant surprise early this morning. I had expressed interest in a Pelikan M450 Green Tortoise, and to make a long story short, it's now on its way to me.

Weeelllll..... I'm still trying to decide which one I want. I've been doing a little reading here and trying to figure out how much I want to spend. (probably not more than $50)

I have three options in my AMZN wish list. Picking one out is almost as hard as waiting for mail to arrive.

Parker Urbanite (set on sale on amzn)

Lamy Safari

Lamy Joy Calligraphy

I am also watching a couple of auctions with interest.

I've only ever used the old cheapo calligraphy pens you got in a set at the office supply store years ago, and calligraphy markers. This is a new experience for me! Correction: This is an addendum to my existing pen/stationery obsession.

Today I received a Kaweco ICE Sport (Green) and a Monteverde Intima (Lava) so now I'm only waiting on a Kaweco Sport (Cognac).

Hopefully, these will be my last pen purchases for a while.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.
