What a beautiful clip! I wish more modern pens paid the same attention to that part (Heritage Rouge et Noir I'm not talking about you, obviously!) Edited by bbs

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

It may just be the lighting, but there is a beautiful patina on the metal bits on Rouge Et Noir. Is it the lighting or is this what we can hope to expect?

No you're right I noticed it too. The clip looks antiquated.

I like it a lot. That champagne/tarnished look really compliments the pen, much more than a gray.

These pens need no introduction! Here we go:

Early 1990's 149 marked W Germany and serial numbered with bi-tone 18K Med nib

Early 1980's 146 marked Germany with old-style font on the cap band, light gray ink window (no stripes) and monotone 14K Med nib

Heritage 1912 with Med nib

Rouge Et Noir black resin with Med Nib (just came in the mail today).

I've also got a brand new 149 with tri-tone Med nib that's still sitting in the box but I won't bore you with that.

Raif79, that a great collection you have there.

I appear to have fallen down the rabbit hole as in addition to the coral Rouge et Noir arriving shortly, I also just picked up an Agatha Christie. It's going to be a good week next week :D

The black and coral 'Rouge.........' One in medium and the other in fine. And for good measure, comparative 145 and 'Klassic' side by side.......

Now that I have the Heritage 1912 and 1906 my eyes stared wandering off on the 1914  Not healthy at all..

This week I got an Oscar Wilde set (fountain pen and mechanical pencil). The pen has been cleaned, tested and inked. I'm impressed by the quality of especially the nib.

Thank you! I'm amazed at how quickly they all came together. I had another 146, but my friend who also loves fountain pens just had his first baby and needed a good pen to write in his little girl's journal. I let him borrow it at first and he loved it so much. So I gave him the friend price...and a 30 year old bottle of Montblanc black.

I look forward to seeing your pictures. Congratulations on the double score. I never grow tired of seeing the Agatha Christie and hope to one day add it to my collection.

Those are a whole different ballpark. You could fit the other two inside the 1914. That pen was like writing g with a small flashlight, but it is one hec km of a statement piece. The nib is a big as a #9, but has a shape like the 1912 with thr triangle breather hole. The cap tops are amazing to look at, in my opinion.

Wanted a broad but this new 114 came up at a very good price from an unknown seller, I took a chance and am very happy. It comes brand new with 2016 warranty card, though too late for a nib exchange.

An old low end MB 333 1/2, but i like the colour, the nib is from a 334 1/2, so i need to find the right nib ( and also the right feed).

If you decide to yield to temptation, may I recommend the good folks at La Couronne du Comte? Their service is excellent, the price is fair, and they are happy to order the pen from Montblanc with whatever nib you like (I got mine with an OBB).

Just imagine owning a pen large and heavy enough to use as a murder weapon!

Just received the coral ReN with a "M" nib. It is much smaller and more of an orange color than I had anticipated. Really like the two toned nib on this one, It makes the serpent stand out. That being said, it is a wonderful writer, and a beautiful pen. It has a little heft to it, so the balance is very good (IMO) for a pen this size. This has been added to the favorite list as a close second to the Tolstoy. We will see after a few weeks of daily use if it indeed stays there. First ink fill is with Blue Hour which is a great combo.

Just acquired Heritage 1906 LE Ebonite #149. We were geeking out in the boutique over the pen number. I'll take a photo of all three 1906's when they come back from being renibbed (with XF, down from M).

Just received a humble 24 in near mint condition. It was advertised as an EF, but looks more like a M.
