Is the silver plated?

The trim isn't silver, but it is platinum plated.

Just acquired a L'Aubrac Special Edition. It's currently getting its nib swapped. I couldn't be more excited.

(note: this isn't my photo, as mine is getting a nib swap; this is a stock photo of the pen).

And shortly after acquiring my first Writers Edition, I have my second, the Charles Dickens:

I just added a coral ReN that is going back to the boutique for a nib swap. It is a good thing the new WE is not coming out until later this year, it would be hard to justify buying 3 fp in less than a month.

I just picked this up last week. I thought that it was a very unique pen and I decided to add it to my collection.

Interesting looking pen. What model is it?

Just got a birthday present from my whole family. Birthday was two weeks ago, but I have not seen them since then.

Altough it looks like a normal edition, it is not. Can anyone guess what edition this is?

Finally got a hold of Leo Tolstoy ink, and got another 146 wedding pen a resin one to go with the solitaire one :)

I went on a MB shopping spree in recent months. Pen-wise, I bought the M rollerball, and two 149s, both with O3B nibs (platinum and red gold).

Ink wise, I picked up the Leo Tolstoy, permanent grey, and blue hour. The blue hour is an interesting ink, definitely shows more character with the O3B nib (and I'd imagine most broad and wet nibs), it shows a sheen that's lacking in dryer nibs, which tend to lighten up to a faded teal when dry.

I'm interested to know that you found the blue hour ink to be effective in your platinum OBBB nib.

I happen to have blue hour ink, but heretofore hadn't considered it as a possible OBBB ink.

For several months I've been wondering which inks may work best in BB or OBBB nibs.

Your comment above is very helpful! Thank you.

Tom K.
