@tragique: you seem to have got a really nice nib there, <for a modern>! :)

@Raif79: lovely pix, even with your 'phone. The Christof pictures are superb, of course. That looks like a marvelous nib! Many happy years together, I wish you! :D

Thanks Christopher! Christof's pictures are fantastic, as are his pens. I've already joked about what he is going to sell me next. TAKE MY MONEY!

Oh, Christof: you know how to create temptation! Eight little words... :D

(I'll bet my bottom dollar that Raif79 is already drooling in anticipation!) :)

Decided to take my cursive italic handwriting a lot more serious with this M800. Already had an M800 with EF nib (mostly for notes at work, journaling at home), and now a formal italic has joined the flock.

Ok, now the pics... the black and green ones are recent additions, the tortoise I got last year. Awesomely fun pens, can't wait to grow my flock even bigger... ;)

Beautiful collection. The vintage Pelikans are magnificent!

I have a frankenpen. A m200 burgundy with a black cap-- actually looks very nice. I've also become a M600 fan, still love the M1000 and of course my best nib is on a 140.

I've been eying the Stresemann for a while now and finally took the plunge. Boy am I glad I did! The pen looks fantastic in person. The binde is very cool and sparkly. Almost like maki-e. I love it! I'll try to snap a decent picture as soon as I get a chance, but for right now I'm just so glad I decided to get this!

Very nice 100N's!

And I see that the black one has an Export imprint on the bottom of the binde which is not common at all.

Congrats.

Thanks! :) Yeah, got lucky with that one, will need to be extra careful with that when restoring it (as per usual with anything regarding vintage pens).

All of those pens need a gentle polish on the celluloid parts, the hard rubber parts are in ok to minty shape, might touch those up too a bit. The only thing that actually bugs me a bit are the ink windows. I would need to polish the barrel interiors to get the hazing and stains out. So far I have not even attempted it as it is a slight and purely cosmetic "flaw" in them and bunging that, well, would not be advisable. Will not touch the rings or the clip as the plating on them is 95-99% intact. Might need to acquire minty clips for them though... :)

That is actually one of the things I love about the 100Ns, especially the later ones, they are so easy to take apart, maintain, like swap nibs or piston seals. I like that, very utilitarian and user friendly.

Mine has "EXPORT" printed on the barrel as well. Is that significant?

I'm surprised we have only seen a few shots of the new 800 Grand Place, so I thought I'd add my feeble I Phone attempts.

The thing I am most excited about is that this one has an Italic nib - my first try at this nib from Pelikan. It writes superbly. Fortunately for me, it is not real crisp like Aurora and I have not problem writing with it. Very nice change of Pelikan pace for me!

Now, on to the Vibrant Blue!

@mana: Wonderful collection! Admirable in every way. I find your ink windows to be already rather nice and clean, so -- if they were mine (wishful thinking!), I should be tempted to leave them alone; but that's me.

Is the word "mana" a Finnish one? Do you know that there is a place called Mana Pools in Zimbabwe? Close to the Zambezi, near the border with Zambia...thought that might interest you! :)

Thank you! :) Mana is not a Finnish word but rather a shorter version of an alias/nick from way back when (Manalainen > inhabitant of the underworld, Manala, in the Finnish mythology). That came from a song title of one of my favorite bands of that time. Then on international forums people just started shortening that to Mana so I decided to go by that. Mana can also mean magical energy/power.

M600 red-black - it took me awhile to accept a red pen, but after the Aurora Optima burgundy, this is one of my nicest. Along with the Burnt Orange, I'm feeling quite buddhist today. The nib is very good, thanks to Rolf Thiel.

I recently received this beautiful M400 white tortoise ("Honey") with the inevitable cracks in the cap (see one in the pic). However the steeply discounted price was too good to pass by...
