Sorry about the multiple posts. Can't seem to get rid of them. "Post" didn't respond.

Ah, and now I see! It's the M800 Grand Place, eh?

Okay, I could just repeat the others' admiration, and I do admire it; it's beautiful.

But, pardon my ignorance: I don't recall seeing this particular pen anywhere before. Is it a Souveran M8xx, M6xx, what?

Lovely, lovely, and my "won't" power is waning.

M800 Grand Place out for limited release this week.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Good pictures, Mike! Of course I love your new 100N and it looks good with those others...

I don't have a flock per sé. I only have one Pelikan, and I love it. It's the M200 Cafe Creme with a 14k gold nib tuned by John Mottishaw. It's a lovely color and a nice, juicy writer. The nib is smooth with a touch of feedback. It's been inked with Montblanc Mystery Black for the past couple of weeks, and I'm quite fond of using Toffee Brown in it as well. I do hope to add another Pelikan to my collection someday.

I just got my first Pelikan - an M400 White Tortoise EF. It's a bit scratchy, but I'm willing to write with it for a bit to see if it smooths out on its own or not. My only complaint is the size. I think I need to get an M600 for my next one.

Generally, a scratchy nib can be a sign that the tines are misaligned. If you have a loupe, you can check the tine alignment. Aligning nib tines is pretty easy once you know what to look for and how to do it properly.

I have a green-striped Pelikan M800 with EF nib that has been a reliable writer for a few years now. But I'm also interested in writing cursive italic and for this I have used various pens like the TWSBI 580 1.1 mm stub and the Pilot Parallel Pens. These have been great fun but now it's time for a big step and ...

... last week I ordered a custom-ground Pelikan M800 in Burnt Orange with a 1.0 mm formal italic nib from John Mottishaw. USPS says the pen is on its way... can't wait! Excellent communication so far about cursive or formal italic, about writing pressure.

Hopefully in a week or so, this one

will have another Pelikan to keep it company.

I tried to duplicate your picture...but it's too hard without the Toledo, the 110 and the Magnum. No way to compete!

Hah! Christof: some of yours are <very> special! I love this collection of yours. Even your Ibis is almost unknown to most people, I understand? The only ones most of us ever see are black, aren't they? And <two> lizards, one of which is quite uncommon (the shorter cap)! As for the 100s: I love the olive green...

Super! (All the best -- I'm loving the Osmia, BTW and happy to learn that Raif79 is building his collection, thanks to you)

Thank you Christopher. I'm happy that you like he OSMIA. If I had not way to much pens, I surely would regret having sold it...

But what I actually wanted to show is that my collection is far from Tacticus, and how exquisit HIS collection is!

Thank you Christof for update and comments. I loved your IBIS.

I' looking for 101N White gold, 100N Gold, !00N Toledo, and !01N Gold.

But the chance would be quite slim. Except for Pelikan Green Bible, I never saw them.

My interest is shifting to post war pens and Pelikan ephemera.

Some of you may know that I am a professor of Spanish. For many years, I have been eyeing the Pelikan Toledo pens that honor the great gold and silver work of Toledo's famous artisans. I finally found a good price on the 710 (small) version, in my favorite color, RED.
