My M400 White Tortoise finally arrived from Art's Nibs (I had it shipped directly to him to be stubbed). The pen is gorgeous and the nib is a bit oblique-y and writes a very smooth, wet line (Diamine Chocolate Brown). Very happy camper here.

Sounds wonderful. What nib did Art start with?

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

It came with an F (I bought it used) but there was enough tipping to turn it into a broad M - or fine B. :D

This old 400 tortoiseshell. Can't stop these birds from breeding!

The 400 might be sitting on top of it, but I have made my 400nn exclusive for the Hobonichi. It's got an OF manifold nib, and it's perfect. The Tomoe River paper loves the OF Mani.

Just got a BB nib for my M1000. I just love those broad nibs!

I've always wanted one but figured I might as well just buy another body too! I have a black one now, but would love a green-striped version with that nib (assuming I can find one.) Where did you get yours?

Two birds arrived yesterday. An M805 black with IB nib, and an M1000 black with OBB nib.

I now have way too many birds, so will probably be putting some of them up for sale/trade pretty soon.

Is there such a thing as too many?

Formula for right number of birds:

rightNumberOfBirds = totalBirdsOwned + nextBirdOnWantToBuyList

I have to add this big bird to the thread. Just arrived today and is every bit as beautiful as I'd anticipated.

Here's my first Pelikan! M800 with a BB nib. I just got it a few weeks ago and am still giddy about the Pelikan experience. No regrets :)

Hi Masterguns, would have liked to see the nibs, especially for comparing the OBB and the IB.

Okay, I could just repeat the others' admiration, and I do admire it; it's beautiful.

But, pardon my ignorance: I don't recall seeing this particular pen anywhere before. Is it a Souveran M8xx, M6xx, what?

Lovely, lovely, and my "won't" power is waning.
