hello... i just buy my first pelikan pen.. M1000 with green stripes..

the pen still not arrive yet.. but i already fall in love with M800 blue and M600 Red...

if.. you should pick one, which one would u buy, M800 Blue or M600 Red

You know that it is not possible to choose--- at least it wasn't for me I ended up with both. Watch the used market here I got three of my Pelikans from fellow FPNers.

Edelstein88, it depends. The pens range in size and weight from the M200/M400 (which are the same size but with different bindes IIRC and with different nibs -- the M200s have gold plated steel nibs while the M400s have 14K nibs, but the nib units will fit both models) on up to the M1000 pens.

I tried someone's M800 a couple of years ago -- and it was way too big and heavy a pen for me (I don't even bother looking at the M1000 pens). But the M200/M400 pens are a perfect size and weight -- I have smallish "girly" hands ); I think even the modern M600s are going to be a little heavy for me.

I like my M800, but the smaller M600 is more comfortable to me. Blue vs. red? Difficult to decide. Both have a very special and appealing look.

A green striated M800 with IB nib. My first M800, I've had M200s, M400s and M600s before, but I'm liking the size and weight of the M800 much better.

M800 is a great pen. I'm a huge fan of the IB nib as well. Use it in good health, Matias.

if you bought a M1000, i suppose you have big hands, ad like weighty pens.... then i assume M800 would be the best for you... M600 is too narrow in grip and to light. However, the nib gives more flex than the m800 nib.

Sincerely,

Dennis

@sfeccollector now I'm still amazed by the beauty of M1000. And yes I will buy M800 blue in the future, Bcos I like big pen. This is my 1st pelikan. And not disappointed at all..

I buy Extra Fine nib, I'm planning to change it to Fine. I guess I still have 4 weeks to change the nib. I find that Extra fine a little bit like Fine-Medium Japan nib.

I'm prefer this pen than my Dolce vita oversize.

And this M1000 will sit happy in my 3 pen case with new friends 149 and visconti Homosapien :)

The most recent purchase was M1000, green striated, F nib ... and sooner this year a green 400NN.

Goes pretty well with your avatar! :P

Didn't notice that but just gave me some huge inspiration for a "new pen day photo shoot"

I have to block myself from eBay...

My White Tortoise M400 is due to arrive today...

Last night I was looking around and found a White M205 and placed the minimum bid and won.

So now I am waiting on this:

Yeah, those birds tend to breed pretty quickly. I started out with the greatest of intentions of only buying an M200. Now I have six ranging up to the M805 that reside in their own roost - Franklin-Christoph Penvelope Six. They're addicting for sure.

I found this old black pelikan 400 NN at a fleamarket yesterday, and it looked good when i got it cleaned up, even the piston seal was fine , it also writes very nice and smoothly (M size nib).
