Received a new Fine nib for my M800 today from Niche pens, I have tried all sizes of nib on my Burnt Orange, but finally have the one that works for me! I like it because it does not bleed through cheap paper, though it could be a touch wetter for my tastes, hopefully it will improve over the next week as it get used.

M205 Aquamarine. Turned out it looked less like Pelikan's official picture and more like my wishful thinking Photoshopped one from earlier this year, so it was sort of inevitable.

I too just picked up the M205 Aquamarine in EF to compliment last year's Amethyst demo

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Pre-war Pelikan 100N that has completely oxidized clip & rings and the barrel is cracked (binde seemed ok though). Most definitely not usable as such. Ok, now for the "Why?" part, featured below. BB? Can't wait to get my hands on that one and install it to a newer 100N. :)

...ok, the pen arrived. I will let the following picture do the talking. The pen was dipped into vintage Quink so it was somewhat loaded. The vertical strokes on the right are indicative of the actual width of stroke, first ones with regular/no pressure, the ones below that with moderate pressure.

Now that's what I call a broad nib.

Yup :) To give a reference to the width of the strokes that paper has a 7mm grid, normal pressure ones are around 1.3–1.4mm wide, the fatter ones where more pressure was applied are around 2–2.2mm wide.

Local auction site find, what I would assume to be an unused/mint grey marbled m200/r200 set. Will see how I like those, not been a huge fan of Pelikans other than 100/100N. But yeah, for the money (I mean it was ridiculously cheap) I could not let those pass.

A nice Pelikan M805 Stresemann!

Am thinking to get several other ones: M800 Red, M800 Black or a M1000, as probably the Tortoise or Grand Place is impossible to find for a normal price.

Dennis

An M200 Aquamarine in fine nib. It is a bit darker than the pictures show. Would prefer a little lighter

than what it is. Writes a real fine line which surprised me. My M200 and M605 fine nibbed pens write

wider than this one. This aqua fine writes similar width lines to my Pilot Metal Falcon fine.

But overall I'm a happy camper.....

It has been a couple of months ago, but my latest addition is a Grand Place (18 kt. gold nib). I purchased it from Classic Fountain Pens. I like Stubs. On this pen I got John Mottishaw to start with a 1.5mm and grind it to between a 1.2mm & 1.3 mm Stub. I love it.

The Grand Place & my Visconti Homo Sapiens, 1.2 mm Palladium Stub, are are the smoooooth nibs I have. Coming right behind them is my Franklin-Christoph Stabilis 66 with a Michael Masuyama 1.2mm gold Stub.

If your out-go is more than your income,

Then your up-keep.

May be your Down-falll!!!

The long awaited M400 tortoiseshell with IB nib arrived last week. And it is going to be an everydaywriter for as I love this wonderful nib!

A new M600, green striated, with broad nib made tantalizing by Pendleton Brown. I had Ben using only vintage Pelikans, a 100, 2 100Ns, and a 400NN. They are all wonderful, and small. For a possibly more comfortable fit for long writing sessions, I got the M600. It is more comfortable. I thought perhaps a larger pen might be even more comfortable. So I just received a new black M800, gold fittings, and a medium nib. It is much more comfortable. It also writes like a dream, literally flying acros the page leaving a wonderfully wet line. I will send it to Pendleton Brown, but not yet. This is a joy. The M600 has Asa Gao from Iroshizuku, and the M800 has Noddlers Steel from Dromgooles. Delights to write with.
