Not a new pen, just a new group picture of my Tortoises:

from top down:

Pelikan 101, 1936

Pelikan 101N, 1938

Pelikan 400, 1950*

*Pelikan did also 2 caprings on the light tortoise 400, to match the 101N. I like this detail. (The common black 400 caps were injection molded. The light tortoise cap tube was turned from solid celluloid.)

Love that 400, actually I love all three of these pens, and a tortoise 101 or 101n is on my lust list, (likely, some where far in the future I suspect).

My first Pelikan! So excited about its arrival on Saturday! It's a M600 Blue-Black with a Medium Nib :D

Almost got the M800, but after looking at reviews & videos, I think the M600 would suit me better for lenghty writing sessions... for now :P

Subsequently got a Pelikan Stola 3 yesterday. So I have 2 in my flock now? :)

Nice.

What's the MB?

It's a Starwalker Urban Speed with a fine nib. After using the Pelikan M600 with a M Nib, I sent the MB back for a nib exchange from F to M. Reason? Mainly because I love how the broader nib shows more of the expressiveness of an ink's colour... :)

Thanks, it does look attractive.

I picked up a 400 at a good price, because it had a misaligned piston, a quick adjustment and its as good as new.

I was however surprised when I checked out the nib to find a DEF (Durchschreib Extra Fein)

short tines and hard as nails.

A beautiful 400NN with an exquisite OBB nib:

Just arrived today, so haven't had a chance to ink it up. I suspect it will be a hit at the Pelikan Hub meeting next month.

Great score! I love the Hunting.

I saw that hunting LE at a table late this afternoon and wondered how it was still there. Nice score! And now I'm sorry I missed you at the DC show, Joshua, would have been nice to meet and say hello to a fellow pelikanphile in person :)

I can understand your excitement. Felt the same last winter, waiting for my first Bird, also an M600 Blue-Black:

Still my only Pelikan, but I'm thinking of some vintage Birds lately. With a nice OB nib...

Ditto. So many people there makes it hard to run into someone. Crowds tend to overwhelm me as I'm more of an introvert. I'm sure our paths will cross again in the future.
