THEY'RE HERE! My goodness the Grand Palace and the Vibrant Blue look a LOT better in person than they do in photographs. Pictures will follow when my hands stop shaking with the excitement :D

I agree, the VB is simply STUNNING in person! It looks like glacial ice. I'm very happy with it!

My latest Pelikan from a few months ago. There is something about this color combination that I can't get enough of!

Did you get the Sailor Realo black/orange for Classic Fountain Pens, too? :P Congrats!

Like a ex office colleague of mine. Classic pens in red/orange or combination of red/orange and black/silver. She would pay anything for such a pen.

I like the black and red combination as well. I would like to see an M101N like that as well. I think I might have seen one on Rick Propas's site in the gallery - but I can't be sure. Now that I think of it, I think I'd like it in a 140, a 205, a 400' a 600, and a 1000. Even a "demonstrator" of translucent black and red.

I'm not a huge Pelikan fan but I recently picked up this Pelikan/Levenger m250 at an excellent price. I often buy to resell but this one's a keeper. It will go in my case next to the only other Pelikan I've kept so far, an m300.

Just bought a M4oo White/Tortoise with B nib. I Was disappointed to find it skipping badly at first but after just a light pull on each side of the nib it is now writing smoothly.
I would be interested to hear others experience with Pelikan nibs, I believe they are tested before they leave the factory but I have had a few that needed adjustment.

Not exactly what you are looking for Bill but a quite funny black and red combination too:

I'm not sure if I have shown this already. If yes, then sorry for post it twice.

That is interestingly cool. Do you know if they did it that way with other colors, like blue or green?

I can't be sure that they made it even this way. see here:

But the pen exist, so why not a green and blue one as well? I just did not find them yet :)

I have one of these from when they were first released. It's a fine little pen. The extra gold band at the piston distinguishes this model, and I think it adds a lot to the appearance.

I recently bought an M1000, sadly it had hard starting issues, so I sent it off to Masuyama San to have it ground to a Naginata Togi.

I think that's pretty common. My white tortoise had a "fine" nib that wrote broader than my m800 with a medium nib.

Unfortunately I did not.

I came close, but for the added cost I found it just slightly underwhelming. The orange was lighter than I envisioned. That burnt orange m800 is still on my radar though.

Among the users of this site, my most recent addition is probably not very noteworthy. But I've been feeling the need for a classic and comfortable pen for writing and traveling, so it was the new green M800 EF.

The reasons are simple -

- You get a lot of pen for the price;

- I've already paid premium for the Stresemann and Burnt Orange;

- the brass piston threads shine nicely through the emerald green binde;

- the ink level is easily readable;

- it holds a lot of ink;

- I'm beginning to like the new gold cap end;

- and most importantly, although Pelikan doesn't make a true EF, and the nib is more of a M-F (and there have been hecklers complaining about the "blob" tipping - I'm looking at you, BoBo), I'm quite entranced by the craftsmanship involved in it. Note that the slit hits the tip at the exact center, and bisects the nib design perfectly (even the Japanese would respect that):

... new green M800 EF?

I have neither seen nor heard of this. Just looked at Classic Pens (nibs.com) and don't see it mentioned there.
