<What I have done: I only collect fountain pens>

dnic: I think you meant "I <was> only collecting fountain pens"?! ;^)

Another slippery slope...

Seller dates them to 1951. The case appears to be NOS—don't know if it came with these pens originally.

It certainly looks good, both the pens and the case.

Indeed—I have been a very happy customer of his for a long time.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Not super exciting but I decided to "upgrade" from a blue striped M400 to a blue striped M600 after realizing that my M6xxs see a lot more ink time.

I should have paid more heed to the warning that a single bird will become a flock. Oy.

A M805 Vibrant Blue and a M800 Grand Palace are currently flying to me accompanied by a Visconti HS London Fog. I don't know what came over me, especially so soon after getting a M1005 Demo and a M800 Tortoiseshell. Oh well, they all are stunners.

That's quite the spending spree! Where did you make all these purchases?

Sounds oddly similar to my spending spree. My last three were a Homo Sapiens Florentine Hills, M800 Grand Place and an M800 Brown Tortoiseshell. They are all fantastic and get regular use.

In case anyone is wondering where I got them, the Florentine Hills was from Chatterleyluxuries.com, the Grand Place from a seller on eBay and the Tortoiseshell from a seller on the Pentrace board.

I had this feeling I had forgotten one! And an impeccable Pelikan 400 Tortoise from christof. The nib on that pen is amazing and the barrel clarity is simply stunning. Thanks a million christof!

Tell me about it! I got them all from Novelli.it, the only place I could find all of them together while being able to pay without PayPal (earlier this month, PayPal got out of Turkish market and it has left me a bit crippled if I'm honest).

Ha, we did get a lot of similar pens there! I was never a huge fan of Florentine Hills but now that I have 2 out of 3, I'm thinking of buying that one as well. There should be some kind of group for people like me...

I originally had a tough time deciding between the Crystal Swirl and Flore tine Hills, but decided that I liked the the Crystal Swirl better and bought that one since it was also older and further out of production. Then, I found a great deal on a Florentine Hills and really love that one as well.

I am tempted by the London Fog, but I just don't love it as much as the others. However, I may end up getting one at some point later.

The one that has really tempted me recently is the Visconti 90, a special edition made for Stilograph Corsani, an Italian pen shop (http://www.novelli.it/en/pens/Visconti--Corsani%201924-2014--fountain%20pen_2141206120-limited-edition-pen.aspx). For those that can't see the link, it's a homo sapiens made from the grey/silver stacked celluloid of the Wall Street (and new Manhattan). I've been tempted for a while and think it would be striking with an all rhodium stub nib.

A month or so ago, a 200 Amethyst, a couple of days ago, a W.Germany shimmering grayish 200, in a live auction...odd lot.

I always wanted a W.Germany Pelikan.

Just bought a gorgeous blue M800 from the classifieds on this site. It's a broad nib, which may be too wide for my daily preference, but for now I'm enjoying the crazy ink shading I'm getting.

THEY'RE HERE! My goodness the Grand Palace and the Vibrant Blue look a LOT better in person than they do in photographs. Pictures will follow when my hands stop shaking with the excitement :D
