What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock? 2016

@Raif: nice to see the pictures, even though I knew what comprised your collection! Lovely. (I have to post photos, too, don't I?)

@Sargetalon: what?! Does this now mean that The Quest is over? Are you complete, then -- until such time as Pelikan introduce more variations?

@grainweevil: Awesome pic. Fritz Schimpf is amazing to deal with. I highly recommend them.

@Christopher Godfrey: The quest continues. It is true that I have completed many of the lines in the M100-M250 collection. Three pens remain outstanding before I can declare any completion. M200 old-style Snakeskin, M200 old-style Clear Demonstrator, and M250 Solid Blue. These will be incredibly hard to source and it will likely be several years, if ever, before I will be able to declare the collection complete. Those 3 pens are my white whales.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

A beautiful M450 Green Vermeil Tortoise with a fine nib arrived in yesterday's mail. I bought it from an FPN member who generously offered it to me after I had admired his photos of it in another thread:

Congratulations! That is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful Pelikans ever (if not THE most beautiful). Enjoy it.

From Croatia, via the Bay, a nice 400NN set in a vintage green leather case. The FP has a very nice OF nib:

I have one of these with a B nib and it might be my new favorite pen-- or at least my new favorite nib, it's glorious to write with!

My newest addition to my humble flock is the M400 White Tortoise, but I got the brown 400NN and the blue/ silver M215 not too awfully long ago, so they're still pretty recent additions. I really like all of these pens, though I pretty well hate the EF and M nibs that came with my two M215s, so I swap the nib (M) from my M150 onto whichever of them I'm using at the moment.

Picture isn't spectacular, sorry; my phone is pretty crappy in many respects, including photo quality. fpn_1461195567__img_20160420_193545.jpg

Bad cell phone pic because I got home late and lost the light but was happy to find the M205 transparent blue awaiting me. Depicted here with all of other post-1997 M2xx demonstrators released over the past 19 years.

Identical in my eyes. The biggest difference is the gold trimmed crown cap top on the cognac. The barrel colors are virtually indistinguishable.

This is mine, a humble bird with a long tail. :)

I've been checking my mailbox anxiously for it for days, so I'm very much looking forward to inking it up.

I think the Green-Red-Blue-Anthracite-Cognac combo is superb. A fantastic set for everyday use demonstrators. I do not know a similar basic combination in other brands. Noodler's perhaps and some Indian brands too... but probably still far away from Pelikan's craftmanship and elegance. I would not mind having all of them inked. I would just like them to be released again with the golden crown at the top. But, well, I am also happy if they are not thus feeling my pocket safe. Edited by zuhandensein

The seller actually had quite a number when I bought mine, but unfortunately not the 0.75 nib.
