My Green Stripped M800 with a medium nib just arrived - two days from Italy to the midwest. Not bad!

Can't wait to get home and ink it!

It's a M600 White Tortoise with B nib.

I think happiness is stumbling into a M600 White Tortoise when you are least expecting to see it.

Cheers.

I got it from an acquaintance in a local pen meeting.

I wasn't expecting to see this pen come up for sale. He casually mentioned that the pen was for sale. I scooped it up before anyone else realized what was on offer :)

I would love to see a writing sample! I have the same pen, but with a really scratchy FINE nib that I really do not enjoy, so I would be happy to see what the broad nib can do!

Dear HalloweenHJB - will post the writing samples in a couple of days. Still haven't inked it.

Dear Mehandiratta - Your best bet for this pen is eBay. It comes at a premium given that it is sold out already. I too paid a significant premium over the original retail price for this pen. Can't do much there.

Cheers.

My latest Pelikan just arrived today. I won it off ebay about a week ago. It's an M200 old style, green demonstrator with a steel M nib. What makes it extra fun, is that it's the very pen that is shown in the last four photos on Dominic Rothemel's excellent Pelikan site.

The seller told me after I'd won, that several people had emailed Dominic Rothemel to tell him that an ebay seller had used Dominic's photos in an auction. The photos were actually the seller's photos that Dominic was using. You can imagine how thrilled I was to find out it wasn't a scam, but that I'd won that exact pen.

I've been slacking. Better late than never! From the Christof Collection I give you from top to bottom:

1950's 100n with a most beautiful yellow/gray binde and EF nib

1950's 100n with a green binde, fluted clip and single cap band and F nib

1936 Pre-war 100 in Hard Rubber (light oxidation) with 4 baby chicks and a very attractive green bind with a F nib

The yellow/gray is my most recent. My pictures don't do any of them justice. These are quick shots from my iPhone. I love my birds. These nibs are superior writers with flex.

Ah, Sarge, there's a pretty line up.

My M205 transparent blue just showed up - Parcel Farce's tracking status updates, as usual, were hopeless, and thus had resigned myself to waiting until next week. So huzzah! Just need to wrestle it back off my green friend here...

Incidentally, big thumbs up to Fritz Schimpf; my first order with them, and they were excellent. Thank you, Sebastian!
