What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock? 2016

So this is a bad iPhone photo in sub-par lighting, but here's my flock with my new Stresemann nestled in there! It's entirely possible it's a case of new-pen prejudice, but I love the Stresemann so much right now. The 80x is an awesome pen anyway, but this finish really perfects it.

That M1005! That is an itch that I will eventually have to scratch. Good looking selection.

I now have twins:

Both pens were bought NOS, one is a F, the other EF. Both have very nice springy nibs with good line variation.

It took me a bit to get into the gaudy green, though I love jade green--my newest addition is the M600 Pelikan Vibrant Green--paired with a loud spring green ink:

I posted some photos of my Pelikans in the Photography section too :)

I saw that in the writing specimen and thought the line variation was interesting (for a modern!) Nice...

I succumbed on Saturday and bought something on the eBay-place that is an extravagance: non-Pelikan, 1940s, German, they made wonderful nibs and the name begins with Soenn.....but -- sssh! -- this is a Pelikan forum, I believe? ;)

I love jade green, Paloma; but as for "loud, spring green", I think that looks more like full-blooded, summer green! You're jumping the gun a bit -- spring ought to be more subtle than <that> ink? Mind you, this is New England --perhaps you are in a more temperate zone? :) (Have you got any <vintage> Pelikans, by the way?)

I absolutely love those two M400s. The F is softer, I'd almost go as far as to call it semi-flex, while the EF is just springy with decent line variation. Both pens were made anywhere between 1980 and 1989 as they have the "W.-Germany" inscription. I'd really like to hunt down a W. Germany old-style M600 to go with them.

I decided to complete my flock of Souveräns and finally got the M1000. I know there are others out there with the full set, but I wanted to show off a bit. Of course I knew the M1000 was going to be larger than the M800, but I didn't realize just how big the jump was going to be. I'm extremely happy with it and what a glorious nib! I'm also getting a kick out of the ridiculous size difference in the M300 and M1000.

I also added a group shot of my entire flock, new and vintage, to date.

Uh-oh... seems that I went on a little shopping spree:

- 1 x later gen green binde 100N with an EF nib (nib is slightly damaged)

- 1 x later gen grey binde 100N with an EF nib

- 1 x 200 1.18mm propelling pencil (green)

- Pelikan 400NN Tortoise

Not bad, total for all was just north of 300€ (shipping included). The 100N's are cosmetically in great shape, the green one has crystal transparency on the ink window and the grey one is not far behind. Now, the wait... will be closer to the end of the week or early next week till I any of those arrive.

Yesterday bought a M800 grand place. What a beauty. The material has so much deepness in it. Very happy.

Here it is with the rest of the m800's
