Lamy AL-Star w/ Diamine Saddle Brown.

Putting an EF nib on that thing was the best thing I've ever done with a pen, and I should've done that years ago, really. It's a surprisingly nice nib, too.

Rotring ArtPen 1.5 nib, inked with R&K Alt-Goldgruen.

With your Rotring ArtPen 1.5 nib, how did the R&K Alt-Goldgruen perform?

Excellent - on Atoma paper and Oxford legal pad. Fantastic shading! On "nicer" paper like Clairefontaine Europa things get even better in the shading department, but the the overall experience is a bit tricky - the pen suddenly feels dry, and I know for sure it's quite a wet writer! Tried it also on Rhodia R (ivory) - so far, so good.

Practice, patience, perseverance

Emerald Pearl Parker Vacumatic 1st Generation [lockdown filler], F (probably) nib and some vintage Carter's Blue-Black (the ink is courtesy of FPN member B_leair, as an exchange for me getting him a bottle of Noodler's Miles Standish LE at last year's Commonwealth Pen Show).

Red Cross Solo, F nib, with Diamine Raw Sienna (a new ink for me -- finally got around to trying the sample that's been kicking around for a while).

Medieval Lapis Noodler's Konrad, flex nib, and Diamine Oxford Blue (finally got a bottle, but had too many other pens inked up until now).

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
