The pen in rotation today is my new Pilot Custom 823 which comes with Broad Nib and it is currently inked with Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku. The pen is a real beauty and yes the clear transparent one is so perfect.

Would love to know how is your experience with this pen and what is your favourite colour in Pilot Custom 823??

Switched up pens from the Esterbrook Transitional J I used earlier today. 2nite I am using the Jinhao 650 Mother-of-Pearl/Abalone. Thought it was time to ink this pen. Beautiful iridescence in the mother-of-pearl/abalone.fpn_1471495546__jinhao650pen2.jpg

Today I'm using my new Pilot Capless (VP) with Pelikan 4001 brilliant black.

The ink is well behaved and does not feather much and the nib is the smoothest one I have although it was quite scratchy at first. after smoothing it out a bit (even though I don't have much experience) it writes very well.

For me it's been a busy morning:

Parker Vector (sort of an olive green), F nib -- Akkerman #10 Izjer-Galnoten.

Parker 51 Vac (Cedar Blue with a gold-filled cap), EF nib -- Sheaffer Skrip Blue

Cross Solo (red with black trim), F nib -- Akkerman #13 Simplisties Violet

Parker Vac Jr lockdown filler (Red Shadow Wave), F (?) nib -- Waterman Mysterious Blue

Pelikan M200 (green marble binde), M nib -- Pelikan 4001 Turquoise.

All of that before 10:30 AM, and all but the Pelikan before 9 AM (it's been a day...). [Where's that old "blink" .gif when you need it?]

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

ETA -- Well, later in the day added another one: Pilot Metropolitan (silver color, without any doodad design on the barrel above the section), M nib -- Iroshihzuku Tsuyu-kusa.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
