Not much today, sadly.
The past few days I've been limiting myself to just a couple of pens and today it's been the red Vector (F nib) with Akkerman Shocking Blue, and the black Snorkel Statesman (factory stub) with vintage Skrip Peacock.

Although I did have this very weird dream about going to some sort of arts festival and the vendors were grouped by category, so one down was all pen and paper related (handmade books, calligraphers, etc), and telling/showing people about my Pelikan M200 Café Crème with the IM nib on it. Possibly because last night before going to bed I refilled it (Pharmacist's Turkish Night -- and don't judge me about not flushing the IG dregs out: I'm not at home and it's been a week and I've spent most of today being horizontal... :().

Yesterday was the aforementioned Café Crème (until I ran out of ink halfway through my journal entry) and then a Noodler's Charlie with slightly diluted Noodler's Bay State Blue. And I still have BSB on my hands 24 hours plus later....

Not sure yet what tomorrow's pens will be. Although I really need to dig out the Cross Solo....

Wrote a short work/sad lawyer haiku to practice my slowly fading Japanese. (I'm not actually a sad lawyer, just a regular one). Japanese poem, Japanese pen (Pilot 823 Custom), Japanese ink (Iroshizuku Yama-budo).

The (rough) translation:

Today burns (it's a heat wave in CA)

Imprisoned in a tower

I wait anxiously

Have a good Wednesday!

Also breaking in a fountain pen, M nib, that I made from a great piece of spalted maple burl this weekend and giving my dad's vintage Duofold some love.

That is one very pretty pen! I love the colors of the wood, it's beautiful.

My own pen selection, alas, was a bit more boring: My Lamy Safari (red) with Lamy black for the notes, My Jinhao x450 (red) with Standardgraph Poppy Red for underlining and annotations, and my Reform 1745 with... well, whatever incorrectly-labeled brown Standardgraph ink I got this time.

Pilot Custom 823 Medium, inked with Pilot Blue/Black

Pilot E95s EF, inked with Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki

Both of these are marvelous pens, utterly dependable for daily use.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Gama Airborne which is inked with Rohrer & Kilngner Verdura. The nib is Ambitious and it is a wet writer eyedropper pen. This pen is an homage to Eversharp Skyline.
