I revived my Geha piston filler and inked it with Pelikan blue-black. I almost forgot how lovely that pen is. The ink fits it perfectly, too, which is very nice - I think it'll be my dedicated blbk pen from now on.

 

Also, the frankenpen with the home-ground italic nib, again. It's quickly becoming one of my most-used pens.

Montblanc Rouge et Noir Coral, medium nib, inked with Montblanc JFK.

Nussbaum Fountain Pen. Phoenix Series - White Mountain. Inked with Diamine Syrah

 

NIB: JoWo #6 medium; two tone; very smooth; good ink low.

 

CAP: Gold trim. Three gold rings around bottom edge of cap. Clip is extremely snug. Small pyramid shaped finial with gold trim. Screw cap. Cap does post securely, however, not too deeply. Gold lettering: Nussbaum Pen. Co., which will eventually wear off with time. The lettering is unobtrusive.

 

BARREL: Top of barrel has the same finial & gold trim as the cap. No step leading to section. Smooth threads.

 

DESIGN: The pen is made of a creamy white acrylic Has an Art Deco appeal. Very attractive. .Reminds me somewhat of the look of cracked ice. Well balanced posted or unposted.

 

MEASUREMENTS: Length - Capped 5 1/4" Weight: Capped 28g

Uncapped 4 3/4" Uncapped 18g

This is a MB Replica--Thomas Mann! I have owned this pen for about 7-8 yrs. Does not have any proprietary features, but this is a very classy pen, and a smoooooth writer! A real MB Thomas Mann is out of my budget as well.

Looks lovely! I had a look at the prices of the real McCoy on ebay and promptly went elsewhere. That pen could feed a family of 4 for a few years.

I see the current costs from $960 - $1400. That could feed me for 8 -11 months easily!

Pen in rotation today is ASA Swan which I have fitted with #5 Ambitious Flex Nib. The feed from Schmidt Nib Unit Keep up with the flex nib amazingly well. The ink used is Pelikan Edlestein Amethyst.

Today’s Thought inspiration is from Kabir, who was an Indian poet and saint.

That's a really great combination! I am in the mood for a white pen this morning too - got the Staedtler Urbes (Jakarta with M nib) inked up with Noodler's Air Corp Blue (a great colour but definitely not blue to my eyes).
