Thanks - it was indeed very pleasant :)

Did you see the blow out sale on Hobo 2016 (Japanese) for $17 this month? :)

That's a great price! Unfortunately I think I missed it :(

Today I am using a Montblanc 146 B nib with lavender purple and a Pelikan 800 in brown tortoise with a .9 cursive italic (Richard Binder).

Everybody has such nice pens, and here I am, with my... other... pens. Quite a varied bunch, though ;)

Today was story writing time, which I did in the old-fashioned way, because my brain works better when I'm writing as opposed to typing.
For variety's (and handwriting experiments') sake, I changed my pen after every page, which means that I circled though a total of 8 pens:

Laban S-C1B-F (aka the Silver one with the Swarovski crystals. Not as tacky as it sounds, honestly), with J. Herbin Ambre de Birmanie as ink.
An odd, most likely Chinese pen (I really like the way it writes), with J. Herbin Terre de Feu
Pentel Tradio (both cheap and cheap-looking, but great writers) white, with J. Herbin Éclat de Saphir
Pentel Tradio, um... beige? with Pelikan 4001 purple/violet/whatever the English name is
Pentel Tradio green, with Pelikan 4001 royal blue
Pelikan Twist, Pelikan 4001 royal blue
Lamy CP 1 (it's white and old - the nib as well - and I love it), Pelikan 4001 royal blue
Lamy AL-Star (now with a 1,1 nib), Pelikan 4001 royal blue

Searched high and low for the Pernambuco version of this pen and finally found it last year.

A good day in the mail from Germany:

• A Soennecken Schreibmeister in basic black from the 50s with some nice flex to the F steel nib.

http://www.ebay.com/usr/yesteryears-fountain-pens-2012. Very good source and an ephemera collector.

• A Pelikan Stola I rollerball in black with an M refill.

http://www.ebay.com/usr/seitz-kreuznach?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754, Their catalogue seems like Sharper Image if you happen to be German.

• and from Korea, a very nice hand-stiched 3 x 5 pocket notebook. Paper is grid and good for FPs. I think it was offered on Kickstart. The name of the company is The Banditapple Company. The entrepreneur in Seoul went to Oregon SU and I'm sure was disappointed in the Madness results! The quality of the book is very high. It has no identifcation or theme printed on it. This is good from a design/clutter pov but not so good for reordering if you don't remember the name.

http://catalog.banditapple.net/ You can order samples direct using paypal.

Broke out a new pen today. A yellow Sailor 1911 standard with a fine nib. Although I usually write with the cap "unposted", I like the balance of this particular pen much more "posted" . The nib is smooth and the ink flow is perfect. Might add it to the regular rotation.
