I see a few spelling errors, please forgive me...it's been one hell of an emotional rollercoaster lately.

Been getting into using these pens for daily writing stuff. Toying with the idea of writing fiction by hand these days. The Great Gatsby was written with a fountain pen, by hand. Worth a shot, one never knows.

So, here is the pen I am using this evening. A gift from a fellow FPN member, and I wanted to let them know I am using the pen and loving it!

"The storm front towered above them and the wind was cool on their sweating faces. They slumped bleary-eyed in their saddles and looked at one another. Shrouded in the black thunderheads the distant lightning glowed mutely like welding seen through foundry smoke. As if repairs were under way at some flawed place in the iron dark of the world.”

Listening to music and cleaning out some pens... always find it relaxing to do this at night.

I am eagerly waiting for the week to end, it's one of those weeks unfortunately. So, to get my mind off what I should be doing, I have popped back onto FPN and this thread is the first one that I always check. It's lovely to gawk at all the pretty inks and pens and handwriting samples. Always puts me in a more relaxed, chilled mood. And that's what I need, because if I am going to procrastinate, I am going to do it right.

This is one of the pens I have inked up at the moment.

The King Eagle nib was ground down by Mr. Mottishaw to be sharper and to have the writing characteristics of thick horizontal and thin vertical lines. It is a beautiful, crisp and very wet nib just the way I like them. It is one of my regularly picked up writers.

Using my new Nikko G nib. Can anyone tell me which song this quote is from? Here is a hint: the author is J R R Tolkien.

I'd like to be using my new, black Delta horsepower. It arrived at my house, yesterday, but I'm driving up to New York. I'll just have to wait until I get home to break in that harmonic nib. Lol

Beautiful. Go on with a novel, the pen won't let you down!

That's what I want - same colour, but different nib.

Now that's what I call a big comeback! Amazing beauty. Have a great weekend.

My Dolcevita and K316 say hello ;)

And now - something not so new. Since these photographs had been taken, I replaced the Medium nib with 1.1 stub. Both write flawlessly.

That's a fantastic drawing! Your technique for shading is really effective.

I haven't seen this pen before. Is it a regular edition? It looks like a vintage pen. Beautiful.

Both pens look fantastic. It's really cool seeing these pens together, visually both appear to be of the same class, despite the prices difference.

As far as I know, it's a part of the regular Classic Sport collection. Kaweco list it on their website along with another chased version, the Chess. My Guilloche was bought from Cult Pens (UK).

All That is Gold Does Not Glitter, of course! :)

I have the same Tachikawa pen holder too! I like its length (or the shortness I should say).

Just a silly test phrase from an old penmanship book, and a handsome Snorkel :)

And your handwriting is very handsome too!

Thanks Eli, I certainly need a good weekend just about now. I've never seen that Kaweco Sport, either. Do you still use your Lilliput Wave? Mine has started to develop some corrosion-like discolouration on the section too, which I don't mind, instead I consider it added character/patina. :)

Besides the epic photo as always, I was surprised by the post! The writing is beautiful and the ink doubly so. Thanks for sharing! I must confess my EDC needs work - for now I can't leave home without 5 or more pens... Currently in rotation:

ASA Trans Nauka with KWZ Honey (1.1 Jowo)

Pilot Falcon with Iroshizuku Syo-ro (SF)

Lamy Vista with Dark Lilac (1.5)

Sailor Progear Slim Starburst Galaxy with Iroshizuku Kon-peki (M)

Pilot Custom Heritage 92 with KWZ Burgundy (F)

How many do you get by with?

Right now I've got quite a lot of inked pens (see my signature below), but there's a good excuse for that - I'm at home, recovering after some minor surgery. Usually my EDC consists of no more than six pens. There are some obvious favourites, rarely leaving the rotation - like this understated Parker, for example:

Great drawing. A decent prize!

Of course I use the Liliput! Same corrosion/patina story here, also on the section, but I don't give a damn. Love this little pen.
