Eli it looks amazing! So many beautiful things in one photo!

Do you mean the Sidecar - or my idle doodling? ;) Thank you!

Beautiful! I really like this ink too!

As far as I remember, I ordered it under impression of your writing. The ink is fantastic. And now you make Caroube de Chypre shine like that crazy diamond (remember Pink Floyd?).

Today, a couple of shots of my Rose Glow Balance, inked with Diamine / Cult Pens Deep Dark Orange:

Beautiful pen! Your writing brings out the writing performance of the Sheaffer nibs so well. The material is among my all-time favorites.

Here is a Bexley piston-filler with a factory stub/italic nib. Unfortunately, these awesome 18k nibs are gone from the Bexley catalog, but they are such great nibs.

In rotation today is Pilot 78G – B Stub Nib inked with Lamy Turquoise Ink. This ink is my all time favourite Turquoise ink and it was also my first turquoise ink.

Pilot Stubs are more like Cursive Italics and have amazing line variation.

There is a superficial resemblance :)

Do you have a preference for either?

I prefer the Montblanc over the Jinhao for most circumstances - but not by much. The Jinhao has such a smooth nib - it really is a wonderful pen.

Eli... BOTH!

Yes, Attila racking up another ink onto my wishlist...

Vaibhav, lovely post. I haven't tried Pilot stubs, will look into them!

Fountain pen novice. I am aquiring pens at a frightening pace, I am afraid it might be an addiction... I see I am not alone here on FPN! Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

@masterguns, is that a homemade pen holder? Pretty neat one!

If you are wondering about size, this is a Massag 521 dipped in Moon Palace Sumi ink and the paper is a Rhodia lined pad with lines 7 mm apart, thus:

A point of interest (heh!): It is possible to write this small using the Masuyama medium italic grind on a standard Jowo #6 nib.

@EOC: yes, I made it myself. Thank you for the compliment.

Currently I'm at 3 parkers.

The 25 mb, I found today for 30,- swiss Franks at a "Brockenstube" aka Brocki or Broquante.

I think the price is ok. He had a few more, I was interested in, but they weren't that cheap and I went for the 25 mb for my Parker collection.

J.Herbin 1670 Caroube de Chypre, coming next week!

[Pilot Parallel 2.4mm - Taroko notebook with Tomoe River]

Very interesting color qualities, as well as the history of Herbin's fondness for dried carob pods. The color stirred up my taste for a glass of chocolate milk with some sprinkles floating on top! I understand that there are some real concerns for using this in our FPs. though I am tempted to preorder. Around the price of some of the Iro inks ($24-25)
