Cool! SJS is at the top of my wish list. Looks like it is quite dip pen friendly. Is it?

Great inks, and fabulous penmanship (as usual)

And eliweisz, for shame! Such language on a family forum! :D

Sorry for all these Latin obscenities. Next time, I'll watch my tongue :P

Eli: Good to see you, and your photo is as gorgeous as ever.

Thanks! The Insignia is so gorgeous! Your thoughts about vintage pen/perfume combo are rather interesting - maybe I'll visualize my own version of a 'perfect period pair'.

And now some mixed experience with a Cordovan Brown 51 Vac (UK):

The thought inspiration for today comes from one of the most prolific poet of her times, Emily Dickinson.

The pen in rotation today is loaned to me by my friend Tervinder for nib grinding which is Fosfor Custom Pen with Red Bands and Bock Stahl (not so) Rot Nib. It is inked with my favourite Blue Black Ink : Edelstein Tanaznite.

Maybe there's goop or dried ink in the collector? Perhaps a little time in an ultrasonic cleaner might help? I've been amazed at some of the stuff I've seen come out of pens that looked clean to me. I haven't done it with a 51, but I've done it a few times with Chinese 51 clones.

Interesting pen. Reminds a little of a Franklin Christoph 02. Perhaps an homage?

I'm afraid I am still rubbish at writing and photography (or anything really), but anyway...
