Gorgeous pens and writing! I've also been away too long. I got some new toys to play around with this week, so hopefully I will soon post something more than my shameless admiration at the skills people in this forum have...

Fountain pen novice. I am aquiring pens at a frightening pace, I am afraid it might be an addiction... I see I am not alone here on FPN! Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

I had Coles of London swap the nib in my Homo Sapiens Dark Ages to a 14K white gold. Love this pen now!

WOW! Has anyone tried these before?? I desperately want one of the grey ones, but I'm wondering if someone has experience with the wraps before I get one. Are they totally floppy fabric, or do they have interfacing that gives them a bit of structure?

If you write Franklin Christoph and ask them, you will probably get an answer within a couple of hours.

They have excellent customer service.

I love the pen... but not the chrome grip section...

Lovely pen and very nice ink Noihvo!

As an aside, you might like to know that 'ij' in 'ijzer' is a Dutch digraph. In print script it is usually capitalised as IJ, whereas for cursive the capital Y is used.

Thank you, Rednaxela, and I stand happily corrected. A few final notes while I remain sensible:

Autumn Oak is perhaps my favorite ink! Glad to see it being used in such a beautiful way!

Another good shot from you, Noihvo! I simply love that you put together fountain pen stuff and liquorise; it is such an obvious combo!

This one; it's new. Kind of. I mean, it's technically quite old, but new to me.

Before you kill me for defiling a vintage nib: It was heavily damaged. The tipping was twisted by almost 90°, squashed (I'd say somebody tried to fix it with pliers) and there was a straightened-out bend (probably a partial break, even) that looked pretty bad in terms of nib stability. I'd say fixing that would've been massively difficult if not impossible and probably expensive enough to buy a decent vintage pen for the money instead.

I still would've asked around for a nibmeister willing to try their hand at that normally, but there wasn't even a pen attached to the nib - I found it mixed in with old dip pen nibs a friend gave me ages ago.

So, I just snapped off the tipping, polished the nib and put it in an old Online fountain pen, which used to have a 1.4 italic nib so dreadful that my sister (whose pen it was originally) asked me to take this abomination off her hands and maybe find a use for it.

I had inked this pen with plans of writing, however, a trip to the local hospital required surgery. While home recovering, 2nite I pulled it out of its velvet pen pouch to do just a bit of writing. The nib on this pen is as smooth as butter. Am looking forward to to future Nussbaum pen endeavors.

Hey! I noticed that you mentioned surgery in another post, too. Are you ok? Wishing you a speedy recovery! :)
