Nice! How are you liking it so far? I see you have a SF. It appears to flex more than my SEF does.

@Ian: Your handwriting is one of my favorite things on this forum.

A Jinhao x450 inked with Standardgraph Poppy Red.

I normally hate bright red inks like that, because they tend to veer into decidedly too pink hues, especially if they're little saturated (as Standardgraph inks tend to be)... but just look at this pen. How could I not.

The writing is the beginning of Caesar's De Bello Gallico. I'm currently procrastinating on my Italian assignment - might as well do it with style.

Thanks very much Guardy, sometimes (in fact very often) I just write for the sheer pleasure of it, as I don't really have many reasons to write.

I know where you are coming from with the red 450, lol, mine is inked with diamine poppy red just because....it has to be.

Thanks. I probably pushed it a little more than I should in the doodles. I normally don't "flex" it as much as this... but the nib is perfect for me and my needs.

The pen in rotation today is Wality 70 T. It is a small sized demonstrator pen which is manufactured by Airmail. It is inked with Krishna Forget Me Not Ink. The nib is custom grounded to Fine Cursive Italic.

AAAndrew, Candide,

The new, flamed nib works a lot better. Thank you both for your help!

Glad to hear it's now working for you. Now I'm looking forward to seeing more examples of your handwriting ;)

An image of a recently acquired ASA Nauka in Dartmoor. The pen was created in Chennai by L. Subramaniam, with acrylic material acquired from Conway Stewart by Vince Coates in Newcastle.

InkyTongue, it's an adustable wrap ring. I believe it would actually be about a 5.5, but the source is listed on the review link.

Parker Vacumatic green pearl, 1946, just received in the mail and inked up with Diamine Salamander. I was a little wary of dipping my toes in the vintage pool but I needn't have worried in this case. The clip and band look so beautiful, the body shines, the nib seems great so far. It came restored and drew up about 1.5g of ink so I think that's a good sign. Hard to believe it's 70 years old.

I am not Liz : ) but I just noticed that Franklin Christoph

is now making some very nice leather and or linen pen wraps ...

WOW! Has anyone tried these before?? I desperately want one of the grey ones, but I'm wondering if someone has experience with the wraps before I get one. Are they totally floppy fabric, or do they have interfacing that gives them a bit of structure?
