Thank you for the compliments. I am very please with my S.T. Dupont pens. The nibs are just perfect in the way the feel on the paper and how consistent and dependable the flow is. My Olympios are both very firm nibs, but that doesn't bother me. I prefer it over nibs that feel kind of mushy.

Also thank you for the advice on pictures. I will try to get some better shots soon.

How is the Montparnasse in use? I was initially turned off by the strange design with no section, but I'm quickly becoming entranced with it. I think I must have one.

I'm really disappointed with the designs of all of S.T Dupont's current models. None of them speak to me.

The first few minutes using the Montparnasse for the the first time may feel a bit odd, but after that it feels fine. The toon is just the end of the barrel...

Like you, I find the Dupont nibs very smooth, but have a tad bit of give to them, which I like.

Agree that the Olympios and other older Duponts are great designs and superb pens. There are a few of the newer designs I like.

Playing around with my green Esterbrook J pen after breakfast trying to use up the ink before the new, finer, nibs I ordered arrives next week from Anderson.

I just wanted to let you know that your post of that Chairman sent me into a Montparnasse research frenzy that ended with me buying a gold plated guilloche model on Ebay.

I boil with anticipation. This will be my third S.T. Dupont. I think I'm addicted.

attika89 and mehandiratta, thanks for your kind words. :)

Cool nib and beautiful handwriting! :)

I didn't like my Kaweco much, but I'd get another one for this amazing nib.

I like kaweco a lot... they make quite good inexpensive pens....

and this nib is crazy fun ... love it

Can you please post more writing samples with that nib? Can it do cursive?

LOL, I will need a pretty stout raise to compete with that, but I would love to see more of your collection.

I'm going out of town on business for a few days early Monday morning, so, won't be able to snap some 'Dupont family portrait' pics until next Thursday......stay tuned..... :)

Just a few days ago I realised I hadn't been on FPN in quite a little while so I came back on and started catching up on reading my usual threads. This thread is hands down my favourite!

Nothing much has changed in my life, except that I keep growing older and the kids keep growing bigger. In other words, all's good. ;)

Happy writing everyone, and have a great week.
