It's this pen.

I finally fixed the misaligned tines and io and behold - I love it.

It actually makes Pelikan 4001 royal blue of all things look... well, half-decent, in any case.

Now if the pen was just a little bit less thin...
Love the way the nib looks, though. It fits the pen so very well.

The quote is from one of C. S. Forester's Hornblower novels. I actually prefer the ITV miniseries (book-Hornblower is such a massive jerk it can get rather taxing at times), but the books are more quotable.

Please excuse my horrid scrawl, I've used this pen for a grand total of 15 minutes so far and am absolutely not used to it.

@Shannon: If that photo shows the colors with reasonable accuracy, I personally rather like the way the ink looks, especially in combination with that pen. 'Tis pretty!

My penmanship is not up to par, but here is a phone pic of a couple pens that arrived from China late last week.

attika89, I love your photos and handwriting, as always. :) And Honey is beautiful, I still have to get a bottle!

A quickly dashed off excuse to use my new pen, (I watched Tinker Tailor again recently. :D) a Pelikan MC 110 with a 1.0 nib inked with Poussière de Lune. I think I picked the wrong ink for it. It's a bit reluctant to start, but once it gets going it's incredibly wet. I should have gotten a dry 4001 ink for it. The English is only to fill in space between the lines. :P 4mm x-height is simply too tall not to leave lines empty in between.

I was once a bottle of ink, Inky Dinky Thinky Inky, Blacky Minky Bottle of Ink!

I would like to share my newest acquisition. This is not a review but just my thoughts on this beautiful pen. My wife bought for me for my birthday an Onoto Chuzzlewit for me for my birthday . post-129200-0-26528500-1461251167_thumb.jpg I wanted an Onoto pen and when we saw this on their website we fell in love with it - also because the novel Martin Chuzzlewit means a lot to me personally. This is a truly beautiful pen, large (I prefer larger pens) well made and not too heavy. I hope you can see the colour - the marbled purple bands are truly exquisite in real life. post-129200-0-82580600-1461251203_thumb.jpg I like the end of the cap and the clip. post-129200-0-93085400-1461251587_thumb.jpg post-129200-0-93038600-1461251715_thumb.jpg It has an 18carat fine nib post-129200-0-16312600-1461251652_thumb.jpgand it writes superbly. It is smooth no skipping and for me the right amount of wetness. I haven't inked it just dipped it to try it out. I used Waterman Tender Purple ink. As I am a novice in the ART of fountain pens (as opposed to just writing with them) I am in the process of trying different inks and this and the Waterman Serenity Blue are my first. Please excuse my writing this is one of many things I have to work on!!!!post-129200-0-50679200-1461251783_thumb.jpg When we bought this James Boddy from Onoto included their beautiful black leather pen case as well. I hope to acquire more Onoto pens if this is an example of their quality and service.

It's quite beautiful! Congratulations on the new pen! You're a lucky guy!

New Pen and inks!

Just came in, my new Falcon SEF, inked with an ink I've been drooling over, Yama-Guri. But I need another pen for the Shin-Kai now, oh no.

Coming from Lamy Safari, Metropolitan, and a TSWBI, definitely a step up for me.

I'm pretty new to fountain pens, my only experience coming from a Lamy Safari, Lamy Studio, Metroplitan, and a TWSBI mini (all in fine). Much smoother than the other pens. Finer than the Studio. Very wet with the Yama-Guri. I don't have nice penmanship but when I write fast the line difference is good. You can kind of see it in my "Y" and "G".

I've only has it a few minutes but out of these are out of the box impressions. Not "flex" but a soft very semi flex feel. By co-worker has a nice Waterman which has a very nice flexy nib. I've very happy with it so far.

Thanks! It took me two weeks to decide on these two colors and pen. Gonna try and wait until I go looking for more stuff to buy.

Your penmanship looks fine to me. That line variation doesn't happen with mine unfortunately.

Congrats on your purchase anyway!
