My ink arrived!
I'm a happy Guardy.

The terre de feu ink looks way better in real life - more saturated and less pink-ish. I think it suits the pen quite well.
I used to use Pelikan 4001 brilliant red with this pen, but the ink flow was crummy and the ink was a dreadful shade of red, too.

The Laban pen (it's lovely, by the way, but it doesn't photograph well) managed to make the Pelikan 4001 royal blue look almost black on some papers, so I thought I'd go with a lighter color this time. It fits the pen perfectly, I think; I'm just not quite sure how practical it is, since the ink is quite a bit lighter in real life. Looks beautiful, though.

The Gris Nuage ink is a hard to use ink. It looks very diluted in dry fountain pens. Fortunately I found the pentel brush pen where I can use it.

What a lovely combination -- congratulations ! We Lamy fans in the States are waiting eagerly for the

" early April release" of the Dark Lilac here.

Broke out a new pen today. A yellow Sailor 1911 standard with a fine nib. Although I usually write with the cap "unposted", I like the balance of this particular pen much more "posted" . The nib is smooth and the ink flow is perfect. Might add it to the regular rotation. :)

I'm trying out a Noodlers Ahab that I bought on a whim - writes pretty nicely but not sure what to do with the "flex" nib...

the nib is quite moderate. Would be ideal for those who want to avoid wet nibs.
