Yeah, sorry, I'm here again tonight. For the first time since I swapped in some Bock nibs, I have sat down and done some more careful writing with my Jinhao x750 with a Bock 1.1mm calligraphy nib, and oh it is a delight. Really pleased with how this pen has turned out. And pretty good value.

Here are the pens that I painstakingly collected over four years. I deem this to be complete (unless Lamy releases black and blue Joys). Game: See if you can identify them and find a running theme here.post-114983-0-40943000-1458806168_thumb.jpg

Well, with the Monochrome Project almost done, I might have inked a few too many pens (can you do that? :)) to compensate my abstinence.

Attika89, your pictures have made me want to try that pen. I suspect everyone else knows this, but does that font have a name, or is it your creation? Thanks.

Michael Sull oblique holder today.

Just question to you as to a super professional: Is it important holding oblique holder to keep the same angle during writing? Or need to feel freedom in arm? Or more important to feel steady gripping in one position? Just think, will Ring Pen Ultra (http://www.ringotools.com/) be convenient to use with oblique holders? With cylindrical holders Ultra works nice, it was tested and penmanship do improves: fingers are free, no gripping, only guiding the holder, letters are better and have the same decline.

Told you you'd LOVE them !

:)

Thanks for making them sing for us.

Oh, thank you! I don't even know why did I wait this long to get one. I absolutely love it!

You wouldn't regret trying one! It is really fun! It also encourages you to try different things! At least it does for me

There must be a similar style out there, I'm not so sure. But I made this because there were too many heavy downstrokes sometimes, especially with the lowercase letters. So I came up with this to lighten it up a little.

I've no idea. That was the first time I ever used an oblique holder.

Thanks for that answer, attika89. As I said, it's very attractive and distinctive. I looked at some deco fonts that are at least in the neighborhood, and I'll try them, but I'm fairly sure my hand is not as steady as yours..

first time posting here. I just rediscovered some fountain pens that I purchased 30+ years ago that had been languishing in various hiding places around my house. The Mont Blanc 149, Pelikan 120 and Lamy Safari have sat mostly unused for too long. However, in the past two weeks, I re-inked them for the first time in a blue moon, along with a couple of vintage pens (they were already vintage 30 years ago) not pictured here. Then, I bought the Ahab and the TWBSI Mini Vac, followed by the dip pen and some of the ink you see. All in the past tens days. I am happy and ink-stained.

The writing you see was all done with the Ahab. The dip pen arrived today (along with the Akkerman #26) and helped me to figure out how much omph was needed to flex the Ahab.
