drv1913, loved your horsey. Way better than mine, yours has real movement in it!

Ptero, words escape me. Such a talent.

Sorry for the following terrible photographs. Until I can get something nicer I am stuck with the Nikon Whatever 4300.

Paper is Rhodia. Ink is Herbin Eclat de Saphir (not the best choice I think).

Ptero: Awesome drawings! Keep them coming!

EoC: I like the pen, it looks really nice! Well, your pictures look good. At least better than my iphone ones. I should take out the camera and take some good ones. Maybe this weekend...

Fountain pen novice. I am aquiring pens at a frightening pace, I am afraid it might be an addiction... I see I am not alone here on FPN! Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

nice pen and nice handwriting :)

Thanks jay.is.here

I love this pen. It was a surprise gift from my wife and is very special to me.

I was really just writing for the sheer pleasure of it, and catfish were what came into my head, so 2 or 3 pages of African catfish trivia followed.

Nib swap 'fun' today.

Liking the big nibs Liz, the 1.1 in the 750 is BANGIN' as the kiddies say.

The mighty Kaigelu and Rhodia R (love 'em both)

Eli, the big Roo is indeed "mighty" and your excellent pic had me reaching for mine.

I took a few snaps whIch I'll stick on at the bottom.

The last one is a great name for a pub "The Elephant & Kangaroo" :D

EOC That is a pretty impressive looking Parker.

I'm not usually impressed with the "Older" Parkers, but the look and colour of this one really butters my parsnips.

Your big Roo is gorgeous - as well as your writing sample. Love the concept - "Happy hour at The Elephant & Kangaroo, order a pint of Wee Heavy, get another free!"

Practice, patience, perseverance

Forgive the bad quality photos: iPhone plus horrid lighting in the cafe I'm at don't help....

Weekend sketching with and without colours. Done in my fabriano venezia sketchbook, various watercolours and drawn with the fantastic Platinum 3776, which I to begin with had some problems with, but now, after a month of sketching, it's an absolute dream pen. I use De Atramentis archive black ink

Playing with line variation - I don't use the Ahab enough. 'Flex' or not, it has a beautiful line.

Line variation by Liz, on Flickr

Edit - Ahab at the top, then a 1.1 italic in the brighter purple, and a 1.5 italic at the bottom in blue.
