Not too surprising, but I've got Sheaffers inked. :P

Here's a frankenpen I love - a Craftsman nib on a spare cadet body I had lying around.

I missed an auction for a snorkel with a Broad nib that went for a very reasonable price lately. I was so sad about it, I went home and inked up one of the three pens I have with the SAME nib in order to remind myself I had no reason to be sad.

While I was at it, I thought I'd ink up one of the four snorkels I have with the same nib, except in PdAg.

In the meanwhile, my two pennies worth - another copper ink in a golden brown pen:

I love that ink! The bottle I have was a bit gunky at first, so I filtered it through coffee filters, and now I just love it. And that's a really beautiful Sheaffer!

My writing is not pretty to look at, but I still enjoy my pens, paper and ink.

Have a great day!!

Apologies to the real artists out there. I am quite hamfisted with a pencil I'm afraid.

Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

Well, it doesn't exactly smell like cookies anymore, but it is the only brown I like. It shades wonderfully and sheens a nice green in a wet nib. :) If you can find some, grab it! For reference, the MB Season's Greetings 2006 is the same colour ink with a slightly different scent. Since the scents are long gone now, it doesn't matter in terms of the ink itself. Happy hunting! :)

EoC, of course they are originals, there is nothing like "just a copy"

Your drawings are really good !

You created it by yourself, and it is for sure different than the reference you took it from.

Most of the time such stupid questions like: "Did you copied it or created it yourself?" come most of the time from people which have no clue about drawing.

Many times such people can´t even draw a stick man by themselves.

But they arrogate to judge about others.

When you use a reference and your drawing is as good as the reference, the same amount of artistic skills is needed to create it as for the reference, not less.

We all use references, professional atrists use references (many time huge picture databases) as well as amateurs.

We draw what we see or saw in the past, if the picture was taken right from reality, from a foto or from someones memory is not relevant.

In addition to a really nice drawing, I am additionally impressed that you referred to yourself using a first-person pronoun! ;)

Lovely shading on the green there, LizB.

Ptero, love the way you capture essence using so few lines.

Sorry about the smudge - I thought the ink was dry when I picked the sketchbook up. Sadly it was not.

Using the Desiderata Daedalus on 110 gsm cartridge paper. The paper has noticeable "tooth" - perhaps because it is supposed to be used with pencil or chalks or charcoal. Anyway, it makes controlling the fine metal nib much more difficult than I expected.

Ink is Pelikan 4001 blue-black

HallowenHJB, thanks. Perhaps it's a time to be "normal" for a while?

Hi everyone! I'm a long time visitor of the forums, but just recently decided to make an account and share some of my pens!

Right now I'm using my Viscontis daily as they are my favorite writers!

P.S I noticed that there aren't too many reviews for the Florentine Hills so I do intend to make one as soon as I can find some time and better lighting.
