Thank you for your kind words, Ian. Here's another shot of the Bluebird:

Pelikans are pens that I haven't really paid much attention to (mainly due to cost), however, your passion for yours has got me raking about the bay of an evening, looking at some, thinking, nah! I couldn't afford that, or that, or that, but there has been the odd, hmmmm I could maybe stretch to that, or maybe that, so that has me thinking that it may just be a matter of time. :-)

I have my birthday in a couple of months, I'll maybe start hinting for a "big chip in".

Hope you'll find an affordable and enjoyable Pelikan. Start hinting, yeah!

Eli, The nib is great, though it would have been more fun if a stub had been available. All new pens are wonderful for the first several days, but the joy of using this one will last, I think.

Nice pen, the nib looks like a Pilot birdie or a Cross classic 1 from 25 years ago.

Camera, as always, a Nikon Excrescence 4300.

Thank you, EoC! My skills are far from superb, I'm just trying to improve 'em :)

I believe the stub would have been more fun - but I like this fat Fine as it is.

And your Medium is something special. Could grab it just for its looks :)

And for those keeping up with the extravagant Dutch cultural texts, I have a new broad-nibbed pen, a Levenger "Java Swirl" True Writer, loaded with Diamine Burnt Sienna ink.

Beautiful pen. I was just looking at it today....

My fingers are always inky and I'm always looking for something new.  Interested in trading?  Contact me!
