And for those keeping up with the extravagant Dutch cultural texts, I have a new broad-nibbed pen, a Levenger "Java Swirl" True Writer, loaded with Diamine Burnt Sienna ink.

The note is about the amusing Dutch custom of keeping a birthday calendar (usually on the bathroom door) to keep track of the important family and friends' birthdays.

Great shot Eli, your photos are awesome.

Thank you Ptero! I see your family business art is thriving. Love your black elder pens, and the dragons are simply magnificent!

Here's something old/new - on my third inking of the Duofold Jr. with Sailor Yama-Dori I finally got a photographic evidence of this crazy red sheen:

Haha. We haven't got a birtday calendar but I get to see them at families and friends' toilet all the time.

That looks beautiful!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Ok,this is getting ridiculous, you miss checking the board for a couple of days and when you come back the drool factor is exponentially increased. So much beauty - words, drawings, pens, inks... the last two are especially damaging to one's pocket! Ok, so here goes:

Lovely M800. I have still to add a Pelikan to the lineup... That will be solved soon I hope!

Fascinating! Gorgeous pens + classic penmanship.

Your simple words are always welcome.

Sorry, I'm short of words to express my admiration of your elegant, informal writing.

Finally, my two pennies worth:

Pelikan Souverän M600, F nib, Rhodia Webbie, Diamine Kensington Blue

Likewise Eli with the M600. That blue and the antracite are my favorite so far...

I've been trying out some KWZ inks

Number one offender for my obsession with inks. I just recently also started following you on instagram. Loads of FP goodness! Thanks for the posts!

Edison Collier with a Richard Binder full flex nib and Iroshizuku Ku Jaku.

I think that with all these pens I won't ever have enough time to get them all. I love that Edison and the Richard Binder mod in your hands it just sings. Lovely birds.

I love your artwork and I can imagine your pride upon the next generation's work! Will be happy to see more from both!

Ooooh... Maybe keeping journals in multiple pens is the answer? Those are some lovely pens.

Lovely picture!

Thank you for your kind words, Ian. Here's another shot of the Bluebird:

::drool::

Fountain pen novice. I am aquiring pens at a frightening pace, I am afraid it might be an addiction... I see I am not alone here on FPN! Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

WoW - who wrote that ?

It's part of an unfinished poem by Dylan Thomas, a Welsh poet from the early 20th century. It is an elegy on the death of his father. There is a wonderful spoken version with Richard Burton (the actor) - HERE.

Quite an emotional piece.

Congrats on your new Mina! How's the nib?

@attika89

That KWZ Honey is absolutely lovely. The closest I have is Diamine Ancient Copper. I may try to mix it with something to get it a bit closer.
